Not sure about Bradley, I wouldn't put it past him. But JMM probably would have been an underdog to Marg, provided no major handicap (eg bad eye). IMO a sizable one.

I dont know your post history and Im not sure if youre trolling me but I will say this. If Floyd did that he would get crucified more so than he already does. They were chosen at the most opportune moment of least risk instead when each man was on top. Out of the 4 fighters I just mentioned only Floyd seized the top guy other than Pacquiao but thats a different subject thats been steady beat to death worse than Margarito.

I was just stating the facts. Fact is, he is indeed a former fly

Yeah because he started fighting part-time dry cleaners when he was a teen.

He big man I little man....thats all his run was about....how much credit he gets...meh...who knows.

I thik he should credit because its not something everyone can do....but at the same time there were some serious question marks on alot of those.

Besides his prior wins were far better than this stretch.

Why are you digressing from the original argument? He won the title at fly and eventually came to welter. That's why his welter legacy seems blown up, when its not much in isolation. Same can be done for many other fighters.

Sure but when the ****ing guy is putting on 15 lbs as a junior lightweight (overnight) to being a full blown welter the accomplishment kinda loses some luster.

I'm telling you he went through every other fighter rated top 5 at welter (as of him moving up) in 18 months. I don't see how Floyd would get crucified, when's the last time he did that? Hell people would complain less if he fought 4 bums like Ortiz every 18 months/

Compare Sharmba, Baldo. Judah was the best of the bunch, and he got beat down by Clottey who you dismiss.

Well that's practically the standard these days. Gamboa himself weighed what, 148 the night of the Farenas fight? and he still got knocked down.

Pavlik and Chavez Jr do/did the same as well. Albeit not as successfully

Exactly. so why is pacquiao being treated like he doesn't do it when he does too?

No one said he didn't do it, in fact people use it as an explanation in regards to his "growth." Problem is, it's very hard to do because as you move up the "range" of weights you're pitted against are increasing as well, while you'll typically have one static range of weight that you operate in- and that's where the whole legacy factor comes in because sometimes people have trouble separating what he did before to the standards that he's held to now (fighting as a legitimate welter)
