The glass theory would only apply at HW, if at all.

The Barrett knock down was more of a slip/knocked off balance issue... i don't think it was a result of having a glass jaw. Haye stepped in square on and off balance, Barrett cuffed him round the back of the head and Haye fell over... Barrett then swung the biggest punch he threw all night while Haye was sat on the canvas. Haye then got up and stopped Barrett within seconds of that happening so i really don't think that example adds weight to a glass chin theory

I often wondered this as well. He obviously doesn't have a good chin but saying that he's got a glass jaw is a bit far fetched.

His chin may be weak for a heavyweight.

His chin is not glass but it is shaky.
Mock was a nothing puncher at Super Middle and had Haye badly hurt, the fact that it was a temple shot is irrelevant, the term "chin" is not specifically about the chin it is about punch resistance to the head.

Oliver McCall was not just an iron chin, it is not like he was vunerable to the other parts of his head. Likewise, Amir Khan is vunerable to any part of his head, his resistance is poor.

Haye was badly shaken by Mock, he was KOd in the amateurs by Jim Twite and hurt and dropped by an average shot from Mormeck.

It is not as bad as people are making out, and if he sees the shot coming and is prepared he can weather a shaky moment or two fine, but against the likes of Wlad or Vitali, any clean shot is going to put him away.

And Haye is my favourite fighter by the way.

Mock, Mormeck and Thompson have all shaken it pretty bad. Being weight drained, lacking stamina and smarts/defence didn't help. Since then he has improved all three but the whiskers still remain a question. His legs went at 200 and when the legs go you are in trouble. Cottos legs went at 140 and when he stop draining himself so bad his punch resistance went up. Same happened to Corrales too.

IBO counts as a world title now???

And I also think it has to do with gettin dropped by a super middleweight who wasnt even a hard puncher at 168.

Both times he went down he was on ***** street. So yes it does sound like bull**** and it's also completely factually false.

I don't think Haye has a glass jaw. I think he has a glass temple.

We will see how good his chin is when he is hit by a big heavyweight,he has been hurt a few times but usually whilst coming forward trying to nail the other guy and the Thompson fight aside he has always recovered well.
