Why do people consider Bute vs Magee as a bad fight??

I'd say Magee is on par with Stieglitz but Sartison is better. Of course this is opinions, but Sartisons win over Gevor is better than Magee's over an injured Larsen.

probably because bute has NEVER faced a true equalat 168 and even though I feel Magee is a decent fighter, a win would just be what emulating what Froch has already done in an impressive fashion

watch entire fight, not just the KO; Magee got tired after running Froch all night; Froch was looking like a moving punching bag.

 

Froch has one impressive win: the Abraham one. In all his other wins, he struggles and finally finds a way to win. Losing to Taylor before the KO, leading by one point against Magee before the Ko, etc.

Froch hasn't won by an impressive way against Magee. No way.

 

To be honest, I don't know Sartison enough but your opinion seems fair to me. Although I consider Magee as a tough man, Larsen didn't look good in that fight.

Magee is indeed a tough cookie IMO. He might give Bute some problems early on, but I feel that he's tailormade for Bute to look good so I expect a brutal KO in the midrounds.

I think that Sartison technically is quite superiour to Magee and he showed a lot of determination in a difficult Gevor fight as well as he took prolonged beating against Kessler without quitting.

 

Now that's a new and good approach. ...Magee being a tough cookie and not that bad as others suggest. Stick with that attitude and, I for one, might actually read your posts in the future .

It is not a bad fight as Magee earned a fair amount of respect after surviving a 1st round knock down against Carl Froch yet his rush-forward-square-shoulders style is tailored for Bute. Expect Magee to walk right into Bute's uppercuts and right hooks (a new weapon he has apparently developed againt Southpaws).

Personally, I don't see this fight last more than 5 rounds. Bute by KO. Bute needs better opposition.
