I would agree with you but I can't. If I do, I will be called a nuthugger. :p

To note points doesnt make someone a nuthugger.
I dont know how much you know of Magee, but except his loss to Froch, the others could have gone the other way. Magee was considered very unlucky against Tsypko in Germany where the view was that he had won (Tsypko looked unlucky to many against Lacy), against Oakey where Magee had a LHW draw was the same thing, most thought he won, against Reid Magee seemed to be winning most of the fight but suffered 4 KDs. I thought Magee had done enough, but am probably in the minority. Reid at that time was a top 10 world rated fighter and had looked unlucky by many against Ottke.
Froch is really Magees only genuine loss and he was only a point down on 2 of the judges cards and was giving Froch a tough fight. Consider that Abraham was clearly beaten by Froch.
Throw in some of Magees wins like against a come backing Larsen, Thysse by KO who after being KOd by Magee went the distance with Bute, Bika, Diaconu and Braehmer, Jimenez and Cherifi who was on the way out in fairness.
Its not a bad match up

Abraham is a higher risk because he can end a fight with one punch but he's unaivable.

The competition will come after the Super 6 tournament crowns its champion.

It will be a good fight; I don't know if it will be short or long, but it will be intense. Irish boxers are some archetype of the sport. They have big hearts and not affraid to brawl. Also, there is a big Irish community in Montreal and hope for the ambiance, will be there to support their man.

LET'S GO FOR THE ST-PATRICK'S BRAWL!!!!!

Christ Bailey, shouldn't you be making more brilliant predictions? Of course you have more experience propping up shitty English fighters than anyone alive, so this fits. Magee is old slow and was never that good to begin with. That's why its a shitty fight and that's exactly why Bute is fighting him. This guy fits the pattern perfectly. My prediction is that Bute toys with this guy and wins every round. Of course if I'm wrong I'll hide behind my well documented history as a Bute critic and claim this was all a betting scam intended to pocket some serious fake money.

So can Edison Miranda and Antwun Echoles, but it doesnt make them great fights. They like Abraham have been beaten when stepped up. You note Abrahams power which I did a thread for a while back saying is it overated, consider that Abraham was taken the distance by a WW stopped by Mosely and other fighters who have been stopped, not to mention Eastman had no trouble taking Abrahams blows yet Eastman was blown away in his next fight. Who are these tough fighters that Abraham has KOd. After J Taylor who had been damaged by Pavlik and then was coming off a KO to Froch, I wouldnt call the other KOs over anyone special

Magee can be tough, though I have never really liked him, but I dont think he can handle speed and top rated power, which is why I think Bute will win easily, but just noted that Magee isnt a bad challenge compared to A Abraham

Fair post, Bute will probably win but Magee is a better fighter than most of the people on here are aware. It surprises me when people completely disregard a fighter because they've never heard of him.

Happens on here all of the time. America seem to disregard a fighter if they havent fought in America or dont recognise them for whatever reason.
But Magee looked better against Tsypko than Lacy did against him, and Lacy at that time was considered a top 5 SMW

I'm a Bute fan, but agree he needs to step up his level of opposition now. Fighting someone like Magee is a bit of a no win situation. If he loses or looks bad in winning, his rep will suffer.
If he beats Magee convincingly, Magee will be written as a nobody who posed no threat in the first place - which is what most people are saying about him already.

Regardless of the reasons that may have prevented him from doing so in the past, Bute needs to fight the other top 5 guys. Some people are calling Lucian the best super middleweight. Time to prove it.
