True, but Mike was harder hitting than his peers. The problem is fighters who are smaller AND lighter hitting, like Uysk. A small movement based fighter has never cleaned out the HW division.
No way will Usyk be able to compete against SHW monsters like 214lbs Deontay Wilder, or six foot three inch Joseph Parker. He might as well quit now.
Parker: six feet three, two hundred and thirty five pounds, currently ranked number six Povetkin: six feet two, two hundred and twenty five pounds, currently ranked number three Wilder: six feet seven, two hundred and fourteen pounds, currently ranked number two Real size monsters right there.
Because he’s a feather fisted slapper. Ali would have stopped him. Let’s see if he can dance and slap his way past Gassiev before saying what his chances will be at HW.
Doesn't have the power to stop AJ or Wilder so won't be winning any titles at HW. Both of these guys have power to stop him..
It's only because of his size. I saw Usyk fight 6 foot 6 inch Joyce who also out weighed Usyk by a huge amount, Usyk made a total fool out of Joyce, out boxed him easily, it was no contest!!!
Size, pure and simple. We're in the era of super heavies and he doesn't match up in regards to his size and for those were size is everything it seems unfathomable that a smaller heavyweight could succeed in this era of giants. Personally I think he's a threat and could be a force at heavyweight, he's very skilled and durable. The big question will be if he has the power to compete against the very best.
Usyk has enough power to knock Wilder out, but he will out box Wilder first, run circles around him. Usyk will weigh around 220 at heavyweight and use his skills to win fights....................let's see how he does against Gassiev, if he beats Gassiev that will mean something. Gassiev will also do well at heavyweight..............Fury will be the biggest problem for all heavyweights when he gets back into shape...............
