Ruiz was setting Joshua up for an overhand right anyway. And what really did Joshua in was getting murdered to the body in the round before the last one.

 

This is what I've been saying. Ruiz caught Joshua while Joshua squatted down to his level and exchanged hooks with him. Ruiz, being shorter and having T-Rex arms was able to land first. Joshua underestimated how hurt Ruiz was. If he had tried to finish him in the exact way he got the knocked down and how he landed the subsequent punches that snapped Ruiz' head back after he got up, he might have gotten the finish.

I think Joshua never recovered from the 1st KD. Other people believe this too. Bellew commented that his legs never seemed fully there. That's what I saw too. So what happened after Joshua got hurt could be misleading. Maybe Ruiz can't do that to a Joshua that's not hurt. He can't outbox him and beat him up. I remember something similar happening to Berto against Victor Ortiz. His legs were gone after the KD and stayed that way for a long time, if not the whole fight.

Joshua's mistake is not a habit thing that's hard to correct, like lowering a hand because you had a mental lapse. His mistake is easily correctable, it was a conscious decision. He could have decided not to finish Ruiz by hooking while squatted and so close to him.

I want to see if Ruiz can a) hurt Joshua in the normal course of the fight, NOT when Joshua is going wildly for the finish, b) I want to see if he doesn't hurt Joshua badly early this time, can he beat him up and outbox him. If he can, well **** it, he's just got Joshua's number/is plainly better than him.

 

It’s the fear that I see in Joshua now that makes me lose confidence in that same belief that he underestimated him, that part is bang right. It’s the change in confidence that I see in Joshua that’s the worry, I haven’t seen him snarling or looking like let me loose and watch what I do to him, that’s the mindset I would think any other unbeaten heavyweight champion would have in his situation?

 

.I picked AJ to win the rematch but if you genuinely believe this was a fluke you’re delusional.

 

Because Ruiz was outboxing him before the KD happened and continued outboxing him after the KD.

 

Povetkin had lots of success and he was inferior to Ruiz while pushing 40, but similar in style.

 

If he hadn't dropped Ruiz, he would have been whooped anyway. Ruiz is better in all facets of the game. AJ is big and strong, but gasses early. All Ruiz needs to do is get AJ in passed 5 and the KO will come. Ruiz has better stamina, takes a better punch, has faster hands and fights bigger men better than AJ fights smaller men.

 

Why do people forget Ruiz was able to take Juiceua's power shot only to get up and batter him about the ring for the rest of the fight?

We know Ruiz can take a shot as he did the last time we saw him , can't say the same for Juiceua; we don't even know if he's recovered from the savage beating he took off Ruiz last time and some fighters never do recover. Would not surprise me if Juiceua crumbles as soon as Ruiz lands heavily on him.

 

AJ fangirls like AJ's chin are weak. AJ hit Ruiz with his best shots but Ruiz was unfazed, when Ruiz hit AJ with his best shots and we saw what happened

Only one fighter was Alpha that night and only one fighter was chinny

 

Nobody's has forgotten AJ dropped Ruiz, nobody has forgotten AJ steamed in and got caught but what I believe people are forgetting is AJ had a full 3 rounds to recover and never did.

Everybody seems to be talking like it was a one punch KO, it wasn't, AJ was beaten up.

Also It wasn't that huge of a punch from Ruiz, it was a good punch, timed really well but it wasn't Wilder type power was it, it caught AJ on the top size of the head and he was all over the place.

Also, AJ, a heavier AJ, a powerful AJ, a sharp AJ, a fresh AJ hit Ruiz with his best shots and Ruiz jumped up from the knockdown and walked through a huge straight right hand.

Ruiz didn't need 3 rounds to recover, he looked recovered by the time AJ got off the floor a few seconds later.

AJ has resistance and recovery issues, I don't think losing weight is going to help him in that department.
