"14 day too close...I still in hebby hebby trainy"

Maria Sharapova doesnt need 14 days to recover from that shi.t let alone 14 days:lol:

Very true and also very sad!
When he retires the same people will find someone new to hate on and talk about how that guy never could have beat Floyd.
Bunch of chumps with no objectivity!

The true story is that back in the day Shane Mosley while still a lightweight offered Floyd Mayweather a fight at lightweight....... Floyd's position was that he wasn't ready....... then Shane Mosley signs to fight Oscar De La Hoya at welterweight and there comes Floyd Mayweather with guns blazing making all kinds of statements in the media alleging that Shane Mosley is ducking him and that he is demanding an immediate fight VS Shane......... this was a very very low way to get attention on the part of Floyd Mayweather, first he refuses the fight and then he acts like someone is ducking him when Shane had signed a huge contract to fight Oscar De La Hoya...... this would be very similar to Denis Lebedev calling out Alexander Povetkin now demanding that Povetkin give him an immediate fight and ditch the Wladimir fight.... with the only difference being that Povetkin never acctually has offered Lebedev a fight in the past.

He was calling out everyone and their mother when he was on the rise to the top. And it's true, Mosley, kostya, Oscar all ducked him. He was even calling out Prince Hamed :deal

Then he got to the top, and it's also conveniently dismissed that Cotto's team publicly ducked him, saying Cotto needed more experience. This was after Cotto had fought Mosley already I believe.

And then you have the biggest Duck since Bowe threw his belt in the garbage to avoid Lewis, when Pacman claimed he was afraid of needles :patsch

Exactly. I'm a big Mayweather fan, but he seems to be treated fairly overall by fans and the media these days. Every fighter is going to have detractors, but right now Mayweather is better positioned than anyone else in the sport.

The problem with the "Floyd was ducked" argument is that unlike DLH, Mosley, etc, Floyd hasn't really fought anyone elite in his career in terms of in-ring condition. His best wins have come against B+ in ring opposition at best. Even though it's discussed on occasion, there isn't a lot of fire in saying SRL ducked Pryor when he fought Benitez, Duran, Hearns, and Hagler. Floyd doesn't have anyone close to that level on his resume that can be cited in his favor, hence when he hasn't fought someone(Pacquiao, Martinez, prime Cotto, etc) he takes a lot more heat.
