If you're a big name, everyone's gonna want to fight you for the payday and exposure. People are always yapping about how Miguel Cotto needs to "call out" Floyd Mayweather, but he's already insulted him in the press several times.

The negotiating table is where it matters, not your post-fight interview. The "calling-out" in interviews is just hype for a fight that was probably gonna happen anyway.

People talking about "Hatton called out Mayweather, so the fight happened!"

Nevermind that Ray Hatton later said that they'd been in negotiations with Team Mayweather for two years.

Youthful exuberance and naiveté is my guess. Caling out is about as legit as a P4P list...

When Mayweather and Cotto start negotiating for real, with a pen and paper and legal contract with lawyers present rather than a microphone and an HBO interviewer, then I'll have a worthy erection.

Calling fighters out is a waste of time. Making offers is how fights gets made.

Cotto should call out Mayweather but not in a disrespectful way because that will just fuel Mayweather.

secondly the same thing i said up there i do recognize fits floyd as far as proving he is the best

last but not least arum is in no rush to lose his cash cow...he knows what he is doin and so does floyd...i honestly see odlh vs floyd numbers after or if cotto beats margo.....the fight will happen

It doesn't really mean a damn thing, but I'm alright with it, it's just ways to hype fighters and hype fights.

It's a way for a lesser guy to try and get noticed, and it shows the guys getting called out that they "made it". It's an important part of the sport.

I doubt we will ever see Floyd vs. Mayweather. Floyd knows he's getting older, and Cotto has looked much better then FLoyd has @ 147. ****...why else would Floyd STILL SAY Cotto needs to do more or to lose Arum IF HE ALREADY TRIED TO FIGHT HIM ONCE (When Cotto has 22 fights no less...)
