i also didnt like the fact that he thinks people boo'd after his loss to prescott was because of jealousy becaus eof the money he made.....no it was because they spent money to watch a 50 second fight lol

khan would show real guts if he stepped up and fought maidana.....and he would get labeled a ducker if he didnt.....kotelnik is the guy that beat maidana....and if khan vacates this belt....it will look like team khan said "no mas" to miadana......i would really like to see khan-maidana.....and i think it would take a similar route to maidana ortiz....where eventually the heavy-handed maidana gets to khan and its goodnight.....

khan should not vacate this title....as a champ it gives you pull in the division...

Its clear Hatton should never fight again. But now Khan has started calling him out when its clear he is shot. Prior to the pacman fight he was saying "oh no no ,me and ricky are mates ,I cant fight him" .

Now he is getting lippy .Thats why I dont like the guy.
On top of him being a twat away from the ring.

If none Brits want to know why he's disliked over here, imo the reasons are thus: we can't discount racism, a lot of people don't like Indians and Pakistani's-I think there's more racism towards them than there is to blacks, Irish etc, the perception being that they don't like to mix in. that counts for most of the general public as opposed to the boxing fans who to be fair in my experience tend to judge fighters for what they do in the ring overall.

As for the boxing fans there's the hype vs protection issue. Thus far, Kotelnik aside-who was a test-his opposition has been hand picked to protect his chin, even Prescott was supposed to be soft touch with a flattering record, clearly a very bad miscalculation and we all saw the result of that. Khan got shitloads of positive press after winning the olympics and has had everything handed to him on a plate. He didn't take any tough fights on the domestic scene, skipped it entirely, ditto Europe and got a title shot without really having done anything to earn it. That sticks in a lot of peoples craws, mine included. His career to date has been a publicity exercise and it seems the plan is for that to continue, plans to fight Morales are absolutely shocking. Khan's got some good skills and he's getting better he's very athletic but they still seem to want to protect him.

-because he has been floored multiple times by nobodies

-because the guy got starched in a round yet moves onto a world title and the guy who did the above mentioned starching gets no exposure nor recognition and has almost dissapeared off the proverbial radar

-because he fought the guy who he said this about (and i quote) "he is the worst world champion in boxing" and we are supposed to believe his performance elevates him to the top tier, kotelnik was chose for a reason cant punch, moves in straight lines, lacks the youth and speed etc etc

-because this kid is a representative of all that is wrong with the sport pampered,over-exposed,cherry picked to perfection and most of all he hogs the limelight while guys like moore, froch, mitchell etc get next to none

-he is now trying to do a witter and cash in on hattons hardwork and beat up another past it fighter,he believes "its the fight britain wants to see" do we? (in no way do i want to see that fight and watch a guy like kahn smack the **** out of him for 12 rounds,a guy hatton would have steam rolled 4 years ago and shouldnt even be mentioned in the same breath as hatton!)

    and because he cant drive!

in fact **** it im turning this into a thread

I hate him because he is an egotistical little ****. Sure, there are occasions when he decides to sound humble, but generally.....

It doesn't matter what Roach says here, he's not a countryman like Khan is to Hatton, Roach will definitely call out easy big name targets to help boost Khan. Khan accepting that is what's disgusting, only a while ago he was mentioning Ricky Hatton as a great guy for giving him positive comments after he got knocked the **** out in pathetic fashion. Now that the same happened to Ricky he's calling the man out?, too cheap for me to support. They're also calling out guys like Morales or "losers" of upcoming big fights.

Hatton has a huge/serious/REAL British following, you can't talk smack about a legend like that and expect the fans to like you, they already hate him enough. Khan is the first British fighter I see the British public totally hate and don't give two shits about, Naseem Hamed talked trash FAR more and whenever ANYONE said anything bad about him the British public would go berserk and insult the living hell out of ANYONE saying anything negative about it. This CLEARLY isn't a case of "race" if any of the Paki people will try to hint at and that Prince Naseem example proves it.

It's just desperate signs from a desperate guy badly trying to cover up being knocked and out twice under one minute, to be honest.

Two days after Hatton lost to Pac he was out calling Hatton out for a fight, that explains it right there, TWO DAYS only. When he got spared and made look like a tune-up or tomato can Hatton was first to rush to him and give him FACE TO FACE advice to try and get him back on track.

If Hatton won, then sure, it's a good thing for him to call another fellow British fighter out NOT when the guy is down and obviously depressed/hurt/damaged. I lost any respect for him right there and don't bother with the bull**** he tries to say.

Trust me if Hatton shows even 0.01% interest, Warren will be ringing his bell immediately.

Might want to focus on some of the MANY tough opponents at Jr. Welter or Welter if you plan to move up, targeting past it/damaged fellow countrymen is pathetic.

hatton wont back away we know it but the problem is i cant see hatton making light welterweight ever again i mean how many fighters do you know that stay in the same weight through out there career under middleweight? very few and hatton was already a big light wlterweight it would have to be at welterweight i wouldnt want hatton to fight again but i would definitly want to see him get back down to light welter watching the weigh in between him and pacquiao looked horrible
