I understand why someone would dislike a fighter. Because they cheat< because they are arrogant, because they are fools or even because you feel they are spoilers. Dislike is understandable. But HATE????

Why do people like Kaygb and Jack Prescott arguably the same person, HATE De La Hoya or any "so called" fan hate any boxer to the point of spending countless hours, energy and life writing on message boards about their hate towards them?

with a lot of the younger esb posters it seems to be based on what there nationality and skin colour is.

Personalities and prejudices. Some people find Mayweather obnoxious, so they hate him. Some people find America obnoxious, so they hate American fighters. Some people find Calzaghe/Hatton worship obnoxious, so they hate the worshippers. Some people just hate other people of different ethnic backgrounds and so hate fighters that are of that ethnic background. You could go on and on. No shortage of reasons to hate out there.

I think Hating and Nuthugging amongst fans is part of a boxing tradition.

I think most of us come there because our people get tired of hearing us talk about a Sport that they aren't into as much as we are.

In here I get to vent about something I don't like about the Sport or even a Boxer themselves.

I dislike that SOB Tarver - but if I was to tell a Co-worker - or Family Member - they wouldn't understand.

Most of us have a Boxer that we would love to see KTFO - but at the same time - that Boxer has Fan. So when you express your feeling in here - you're usually going to get someone that comes to their aid/defense.

I don't hate any boxer. I hate some of their fanboys though.

  12. Because people by their very nature are assholes. Man will talk about peace love and understanding but will gladly step over anyone and sell them down the river to achieve his own goals. Politicians will talk about the evils of regime X and the benefits of democracy yet are no more than puppets to greater financial instituations with agendas all the while spoon feeding you the belief that you have a choice or are under threat and finally sportmen of every religeon, colour and continental background will knowingly and gladly accept million dollar sponsorships from trainer companies that employ phillipano child slave labour who are paid one bowl of rice a day - welcome to the human race.

I definitely dont hate the two glamor boys that I always harp on but I do hate how they rob the sport of its integrity and short change other boxers
