I don't hate any boxer, but I don't like them all either. I don't like Tarver because he's an idiot and talks trash (like suggesting he was poisoned when Hopkins beat him around the ring), but he did have some good performances in his career and was the first to hand Roy Jones his first real loss - in devastating fashion - despite the obvious decline in Roy. The list goes on.
when i bash guys like tarver, zab, the fishnet, or quitali, i'm usually just messing around and it's not real hate. i only hate those who are terrible human beings like james butler, joel scott, or tony ayala.
i dont hate on boxers...about boxing...but sometimes as with the rest of the population you get fukwits...
It's a pride sport. People seem to get confused about this sometimes and lean to far against the wind. Shame.
Only speaking for myself, I loathe fighters who peddle the ignorant, thuggish mentality. Its why I like Tommy Hearns, because he was a guy who had to put real effort in, and rarely showed ignorance or a "Ghetto" mindset.
Many / most people who express hatred on a forum wouldn't say **** if they were sat in the same room as the person they are expressing hatred towards. Personally, I don't hate anyone, I only dislike some fighters' persona, the perfect example being Floyd's "bad boy" act. Underneath, I know he ain't a bad person. The Floyd we saw after the Hatton fight -- I believe that's the real one. Underneath, most boxers are not the person they appear to be. It's merely promotion.
