Why do people hate Margarito?

I don't hate him I just don't think that a guy who lost against Williams and almost lost against Clottey should be rated in the top10 p4p.

 

i like margo even before the cotto fight. cotto is one of my fav fighter but i did not feel bad when margarito demolished him. both fighter deserve props for a hell of a fight.

 

i dont hate the guy he just generally isnt what i look for in a boxer...id rather watch mayweather for his overall skillset over marg anyday as i prefer the aesthetics of the sport

 

I love technical boxers,people who have a complete pack,who can move and throw shots without getting hit.For me its all about style,i like Robinson,mayweather,the old roy jones etc.Its all about style.

Having said that I have respect for Margaritto as a boxer.

 

I can't see any reason why someone could not be a fan of Margarito. He may not have the style some fans like (i.e a slick counter puncher) but as a boxer and ambassador for boxing I think he's doing a great job.

 

Nobody on here HATES Margarito they just like 1 or 2 others just abit more, thats all.

 

what do you guys think about the double standards he employs.When Floyd doesnt want to fight margaritto its because of fear.When Margaritto doesnt want to fight Williams and Clottey its because they dont bring money or Arum has a vendatta agaisnt their promoters.

Margarito wants a big payday with De La Hoya now, unfortunately this won't happen as Pac(promoted by Arum, this also shoots down your theory on this vendetta idea) will fight DLH, DLH wants the fight with Pac and he will get it. Margarito does not yet understand this. When he does Clottey and Williams will be realistic possibilities, so its not a matter of Margo not wanting Williams or Clottey, its a matter of Margo wanting $$$$$$(De La Hoya) just abit more.
