So he is satisfied with Williams owning him and then wants us to call him great when we know Williams beat him and he never redeemed himself.Thats not what champions are made of,look at Lennox Lewis,he would chase that rematch and beat the hell out of anyone who beat him b4.

So its ok for Margaritto to chase after the $$$$ but wrong for Mayweather to do the same?Wasnt Mayweather scotched for fighting Hatton and DLH.Floyd did it for money people didnt like it.Margaritto does it for money and its ok?

Wow you can't see the difference? Time for schooling son.

Mayweather got huge paydays against non-welterweights(Hatton, and DLH), only fought Judah, and Baldomir at 147(not fighters that inspire fear)

Both Margarito and Cotto have beaten anyone with credibility at 147(the big difference, in case youre wondering) and done so with dominating fashion except for Williams(Margarito) and Margarito(Cotto)

PBF ducked Cotto and Margo and went away without doing **** really at WW. So how can you pretend that Margo is similar to PBF?

Don't worry Margo-Williams2 will happen, probably quicker than some anticipate as DLH will fight Pac and ignore the dangerous fighter from Tijuana

So again chibuku another horrible comparison:-(

I love Margo. I love Williams. They fought only ONE YEAR AGO. And Williams whipped his ass. Now everyone talks about Margo being some fearless warrior, yet it's obvious to any objective fight fan that he wants NO PART of the rematch.

I don't think anyone out there hates Margo. It's just all the PITIFUL ****IN EXCUSES that his fans keep coming up with for (1) his loss that was a MUCH WIDER MARGIN THAT THE SCORECARDS (2) HIS LACK OF DESIRE TO PROVE HE CAN BEAT WILLIAMS AGAIN, and (3) THE MEDIA LOVE-FEST THAT ALLOWS HIM TO BE BE PORTRAYED AS THE MOST FEARED GUY...

His fans always say he can beat Williams again and base their arguments on this as if it were just FACT. He hasn't proven ****, and shouldn't be given credit for it.

To those who think Margarito is afraid of Williams..

Margarito is cashing in on the comment's De La Hoya made about facing the winner of the Margarito/Cotto fight
which we all agreed at the time was best for boxing.
Margarito mearly changed the script and added himself instead of Cotto..
    Why should that change anything?
Should Oscar not agree to fight the winner still?

it's obvious De La Hoya saw Cotto as the fight he wanted.
(He should have said, I wan to fight Cotto, not the winner)

Margarito will get his rematch, but in the meantime Williams
should move on and stop living off that Close decison fight he won Vs. Margarito.

Since the Williams fight, Maragrito has won 2 WW's championship's
and is considered by many the lineal champion of the division.

    What has Williams done since?
Lose to Quintana, rematch Quinatna & contemplate a middleweight run...
    (Not enough)

Nobody hates Margarito. He just doesn't get the praise he deserves because he lacks boxing skills, but makes up for it in stamina and raw power. I have to admit I didn't care too much about watching him pre-cotto. Now I see skill isn't everything.

Since that fight Williams lost to Quintana... But unlike Margarito, he didn't ahine and make excuses. He avenged the loss. He tried to get a date with Cintron - no dice. He tried to get Cotto before the margo fight - no dice. We all thought he would get a shot at Winky Wright - Winky wants no part of it.

Margo has done his thing since then, but there is one thing he hasn't done. He hasn't avenged his loss. You seem perfectly content with him claiming all this greatness, when there is a man out there who took his belt, and has it right now, wants to fight him now, and he wants to get a payday instead...

    Very inconsistent.

By the way, WILLIAMS SHOULD MOVE ON??????? BUT IT'S OK FOR MARGARITO TO CALL OUT RETIRED AND OLD BOXERS???? SHOULDN'T MARGARITO MOVE ON AND FIGHT WHO IS AVAILABLE AND WANTS TO FIGHT HIM?????

Lot's of people had to learn to respect Monzon's style too.

All these two guys do is just beat the frap out of their opponents until
the opponent quits or is TKO'ed.

They don't hate Margarito, but have no problem discrediting all of his wins? I can understand people who would rather watch more skillful fighters, but Margarito is still underrated in terms of ability. He puts his punches together well, he doesn't just let his hands go aimlessly. He still has skill, just not at the same level of a Marquez or a Cotto. However, what he does have is what the sport needs right about now, and I think he is great for the sport.

    Go Margarito. :happy

I personally think they hate him becuase he is not your typical marketed fighter, he isnt trying to look pretty, he isnt trying to sell any records, he isnt trying to play high speed tag nor chess, he does seem to be sloppy and wide but wins fights and usally in a dominant hurtful way, I think the hate really stems from the fact of him Calling Floyd out face to face, then the 8 million dollars that Floyd turned down to fight him, Floyd fans do not want Margarito supporters to have this much leverage against Floyd but we do and they know it.
so rather than to give the man credit for what he has been able to do its all about hating on a man, so what if he doesnt fight the way you want him to fight, he is still the champion just dominated the top welter weight and knocked him out, so I really dont see what the problem really is.
I think the haters really just want to see a pop star in a fighter, but that is not what boxing is about.

Finally someone who knows what they are talking about. PBF was groomed to be a superstar. HBO guaranteed him $4Million dollar paydays for sparring sessions with people like Bruseles, Gatti, and Sharmba Mitchell.

Cotto and Margarito were only guaranteed $3 and $1.5Million respectively to go to war and take beatings that will likely shorten both their careers. If the PPV sales tanked their bonuses would be crap so they shouldered a great deal of the risk.

There's nothing wrong with Margo looking for a couple big money fights after 15 years of fighting on undercards for peanuts.
