They keep calling him a bodybuilder, but he works insanely hard to get himself in shape. Unlike a lot of fat asses out there who can box but have man handles and tits.

Having good stamina is not just about trainings, it's genetics also. No matter how much AJ trains his gas tank will never be as good as others in the sport.

He's doing the best he can with what he has, and he's been 12 rounds 3 times now. He was up against an a boxing genius with an insane gas tank who only gets better as the fight goes on.

Would you rather be someone like AJ with a ripped physique and also good strength/power, or would you rather be like a lot boxers around these days who have ***** titties?

Joshua is 6ft 6 and 240lbs, nothing wrong with that. He was over bulked before, but lost weight and improved his stamina.

There isn't much more he can do. He's genetically a beast when it comes to being able to gain muscle and produce power, but his gas tank naturally sucks due to his genetics.

He could lose 15lbs but he'd still have similar issues. You think Fury's gas tank is all about training? Fury only trains for about 6 weeks before a fight and spends the rest of the year eating take aways and drinking. Fury's got insane genetics and maybe PED's for his stamina.

Cos he is bodybuilder and it is easy to see.
Also here not always offense had been in meaning: in some! fight situations this is good thing not bad thing, sorry.
This also is nice looking body build, helping to get fans, followers and increase ppvs and tickets sales revenue.

Yeah it is but I don't agree completely nor about weight lifting nor static strength exercises.
I'm not against lifting, IRL I even had did Oly type lifts too, ofc not in level like high level weight lifters for sure, it is different sport.

A bodybuilder is someone who trains and 'cycles' primarily for physical appearance rather than athletic ability. The resulting body is big and well-proportioned, but rarely an accurate reflection of their strength or physical fitness.

Joshua has a bodybuilder's body, not an athlete's body, and it implies he is more interested in the vanity exercise of piling on muscle than in his performance in the ring.

This seemed to be confirmed when he exposed issues with stamina, stiffness, and chin, particularly with the Ruiz fight.

He has slimmed down since then and I don't feel that the assessment rings so true anymore, but you can understand the reason why people use this insult: he has a 'nice body' but it doesn't translate to much in the ring.

But it's obviously not just for looks though is it if he has great power?

His body looks very similar to some of the other heavy hitters in the sport.

Considering his achievements so far, I'd say it's a stupid criticism. Like I said.

Fury has insane stamina but is a joke when it comes to training, you think it's all down to hard work?

How does being a fat ass with tits help you be a boxer? Yet some people can get away with that.

240lbs and 6ft 6 is around the same height and weight as lennox lewis AND Wladmir K.

Lennox Lewis and Wlad K were around the same though!

Joshua was 156lbs for the Takam fight, he's since reduced to 140lbs and improved his stamina. He's not in it just for the appearance. Being big is part of his game.

Power isn't exactly the issue people have with him. The point is: if you have big muscles and a 'great body' but you can't last twelve moderate-pace rounds, move extremely well, or take a punch - this doesn't reflect well on you as a boxer and implies your interests in training are rather warped.

Plus, power doesn't have any real correlation with 'big muscles'. A good physique generally means you've been training more for endurance than strength. And even then, 'gym' strength doesn't correlate much with punch power. Body mass factors into it more clearly, but if that is your interest there's no difference between muscle mass and any other kind of mass. Muscle mass, if anything, tires faster.

Yes but the assumption is that AJ could do more to improve his stamina. He has improved his stamina, but what I'm saying is that good gas tanks are also about genetics.

Look at some of the fatasses out there who don't train well or at all and have a gas tank. Look a ****ing Tyson Fury. He trains like crap, and you think his stamina/endurance is mostly to do with his training? It's genetics.

I suppose it's based on what you believe, but I don't agree that just because AJ has big muscles means he's trained for vanity.

He was overbulked before, but he's corrected that. Like I said, he's the same height and weight as Wlad and Lennox who had similar physiques to AJ.

Heck, even look at Mike Tyson!!

It’s boxing not a bodybuilding competition.

    Muscles don't win fights

    Especially at heavyweight

AJ has finally learnt that coming down to 240 from his 254 hulk mass.

You see the damage he put out on Usyk with barely any punches...why does he need stamina killing bulk when stamina is one of his biggest weaknesses.

I don't know much about Fury's gas tank, with a Hopkinsesque punch output and mostly even less , it would be a surprise if he wasn't able to go 12 without exerting himself.
