i would have scored it a draw if not for the KD....i thought he won rounds 1,2,4,5 and 10 decisively and round 3 could have gone to him too.yet people in the rbr and on the ring website are calling it a decisive win and claiming its time morales retired....also theres a case to be made that round 11 should be only 10-9 considering the great work morales did before he got put down

    did i miss something ?

No it was a super close fight that should have been up to the knock down and the last round. Garcia won by a point or two. Morales did a great job, just faded down the stretch and got hurt in two early rounds. wonderful boxing job, it was by no means noncompetitive, and I feel he won longer stretches of the fight than Garcia did.

Morales never gets the benefit of the doubt on score cards, I thought he deserved a draw with Madaina and easily beat Diaz overall with sharper technique. Judges don't like him for whatever reason.

Thought the same. IMO Diaz needed those last rounds and he got them big. Props to Morales for showing that veteran skills can keep you with the young guns but props to Diaz too for winning the championship rounds big. Morales did well and I thought Diaz did a better job than Maidana and actually won clearly against Morales in another close fight.

I had Morales winning 2, 4, 5, and I think it was 8. The rest to Garcia. Several were close, but I do think Garcia won decisively (even Morales said he thought he lost in the press conference afterwards).

Morales lost by about 2 points. The Morales from the Maidana fight would haver beaten Garcia soundly IMO. At times he looked like his heart wasn't even in it last night, and he still made a good account of himself.

115-112, because of open scoring morales got told he was way down and needed to ko him, he got dropped in 11 and lost 12 as well.
It was even or atleast very close imo after 10 rounds, garcia won the last 2 and dropped him so 115-112, definitely nothing to be ashamed off and a solid performance for someone in his state where he showed he still had better boxing skills than danny just age, high weight and wars troughout his career affected him.

It was competitive all throughout, but not close in points on the 10 round must system.

I saw it 117-110 for DG and honestly can't see it too much more generously for El Terrible than that.

    because HE DID.

he needed those last 2 rounds and ended up getting knocked down in the 11th and losing the 12th

It is a good example for that thread hook made yesterday asking for a guy who got the jab going but still lost clearly.

I meant David Diaz not the Diaz that aramini was referring to. Morales did get beaten clearly but put up a good effort for the most part but at times it looked like he didn't want to be there.
