I know people that loved him when he first started, but when he went on a decline people hated him. Plus his last fight with McBride he announced his retirement then people threw trash at him. Now since he's a changed man people love him. You know? I like Tyson too, but i'm just calling it like I see it. To me a lot of people treated Tyson wrong. It really sucks he has to get back in Boxing as a promoter and do appearances for money. Plus it even looks like he doesn't want to do these appearances and the one man show where he was booty clappin. We know Tyson made mistakes, but he should have had a great financial manager. Now he owes money to the day he dies.
he is viewed as the victim and was a really good boxer/entertainer then. people are also curious of the crazy life he lived then.
whats wrong with loving someone whos changed from a nasty person to a nice person?? tyson should be proud of himself, and as a buddhist, I love seeing improvement in anyone... mike tysons life story is amazing and hes come so far - so fair play to the man
boxing is full of fans that chop n change. I've noticed a lot of people like mike Tyson now but this doesn't wind me up half as much as when someone is talking rubbish about a fighter and then that fighter does a demolition job or 2 on somebody and that same person that mocked him becomes number 1 fan. also hate fans that bash there favourite fighter after he has a big loss .
Pity Nostalgia The HW scences been abysmal since he retired (not saying its soley down to him that it was so good, but he was part of the reason)
In fairness I still don't like him. It's much easier to be nice on the way down. I think he was over rated as a fighter but still very good. His boxing knowledge is exceptional though.
He was my favorite boxer as a kid and still is to this day and I'm very happy to see that he has turned around his life as it was a train wreck for awhile. I also see his career as being tragic; yes he accomplished a number of things but I also think he could of accomplished a lot more if he was more mentally stable and had the right people stay with him.
That's really sad though. Plus MMA fans aren't like that. I wish Boxing fans could be a little more appreciative. Also watch people will love Floyd once he retires.
it's kinda like julius caesar after he was stabbed. tyson was a powerful brute and now a pathetic circus act. the mob are fickle hypocrites though.
