Why do people not acknowledge that Hopkins/Pascal 2 was a close fight?

I disagree with the seminal post and that's coming from a Jean Pascal fan. I mean Jean lives in the same neck of the woods as I and I fail to see how he could have won the second fight.

That fight wasn't close. People who dislike Hopkins will of course say otherwise, but video evidence of the fight doesn't back that up. It was an 8-4 or wider fight.

pascal is a very limited fighter, we clearly saw that when carl froch took his 0. bernard needed 2 attempts to beat pascal and then it was debatable, mind you, hopkins needed 3 attempts to get rid of the legendary robert allan

all of this reminds me that there have been 8 times poor old bernard has gotten into the ring and not been good enough to beat his opponent :rofl

when you look at it logically, bernard has never beaten an A-level fighter at a fair weight in his entire career. still you have to score hopkins high for longevity though :deal

Man, Bernard's 46 years old and he was up against a committed, athletic, fast-handed and strong 20 plus year older who had just won a World Championship. What is this thread supposed to mean? Really now, you guys post thangs like Bernard has had not a solid mw win like Calzaghe's, that Bernard's mw achievements are compared with Sturm's, that Bernard has had not a significant win since 2005!? Please, you better say that you hate Bernard period!

Most people think Pascal beat Froch. It was a controversial decision. Hopkins beat Allen twice. The first fight he was injured when the ref pushed him out of the ring. What do you mean three fights to get rid of Allen? That is like saying Sugar Ray Robinson needed 5 fights to get rid of whats his face.

The hate of some of the racist white boxing fans is ridiculous.
