I think they underestimated him in III 100% but he had fought at 140 and had a 144 catchweight, a catchweight Pacquiao actually respected unlike some - and technically he won the fight. But by saying IV is a cherrypick is ridiculous beyond belief - Bradley II would have been the easier fight - anyway, stick to the point

i actually agree he needs to decide where he fights. If 154 is too big he should say "It's too big for me, I'm finishing my career at 147" - then I'd buy it, I wouldn't accuse him of ducking even, I'd say he has accepted his limitations and realised Canelo's size can hurt him ,fair enough...but Floyd won't do that, he made a song and dance about how he's the best at 154, how he took on the best (clearly he didn't and we knew that at the time) and him and his camp will continue going on about how he's the best at 154 while he actually finds a way to dodge Canelo - that's why he gets criticised.

Hopefully you're right, he gives up 154 and just state it's too big for him.

 

yer i know its irrelevant but i say its a cherry pick because nothing really changed between the 3rd and 4th fight yet pacquiao dragged the odds further out of marquez's favour (which were allready stacked against him). i believe if you are the champion and you are the draw then you call the shots... if ur a division lower or higher u come to me, u fight in my town, i get the bigger cut of the purse. but i dident like how after unofficially loosing the third fight they felt they needed to further add salt to the wound

Name one other fighter who gets the allowances Mayweather gets from the sancitioning bodies. It means nothing, it's corrupt. He will not have defended the WBA belt for 18 months minimum, he hasn't defended the WBC belt since the Ortiz fight 20 months ago...

Challenging and fighting a 39 and 40 year old LW who has one career fight at 147 is definitely not considered a real test. In fact, most people predicted manny to walk through JMM in their third fight (I was one of them). The large majority of people predicted manny stopping JMM or them having a fourth fight similar to their first three. Fighting a 39 and 40 year old JMM is considered a cherry-pick in my eyes.

 

He gets the allowance because he's the #1 PPV attraction in the sport. I'm not saying it's right, or that I agree with it, but that's why. It always comes down to the bottom line... $$
