So you definitely know other ppv kings who took risks and fought in divisions where they didn't belong, don't act like Floyd would be the first or the boldest.

Funny youre not mentioning the farce which his first 147 fight was...came up direct from 135 against someone who didn't respect the catchweight. Pac III was at 144, catchweight respected and MArquez had at that point fought at 140 and 147. Pac IV is then at 147, Marquez by now has enough time to grow into the weight and I don't think anyone can complain he didn't. So please just stop...

Fighting a 39 and 40 year old, at a weight he's only once fought at in his 50+ fight career, is indeed cherry-picking. Just because JMM turned out to be more than game for manny doesn't mean it wasn't a cherry-pick attempt.

I don't know why you're mentioning Floyd and JMM's fight as if it has any relevance to the topic I corrected you on (which is manny attempting to cherry-pick JMM in III/IV). Yes Floyd violated the catchweight and fought someone 2 weight classes beneath him. It has nothing to do with what we were talking about. Please stay on topic.

Pac was outweigh by Margarito 15lbs+ and the *****s never complained about that weight discrepancy either.

The *****s said that Chavez Jr and Margarito were **** and the weight didnt matter much. Well Canelo is not too far ahead, talent wise, of that Margarito that fought Pac and that Chavez that fought Martinez. So if Pac and Martinez can do it why is weight a concerned for the *****s now?

Martinez said he weighed 168 on the day of the fight vs Chavez Jr. Chavez Jr weighed 180 vs Rubio. So I'm guessing he weighed between 180-185 vs Sergio

 

I think it's fair to say it was 20lb or close to it. Best estimate was 185 for Chavez Jr (that's the weight he usually rehydrates to anyway), Roy Jones thinks Chavez looked more like 190 - Chavez Jr refused to step on to the scales but you can tell there was a very big size difference between the 2
