Why do people say Canelo landed the heavier blows when it was 95 to 96 in power shots

96 Canelo vs 95 Trout and Trout outjabbed him by a good margin I dont have the exact numbers, please explain how one gets a decision in such a fight?

I wish I had a breakdown rd by rd of everything thrown and everything landed, power shots jabs etc......

its the only way I can be convinced that Trout didnt deserve that decision, at least Im looking for answers and not spouting the party line. I remain objective looking for answers to explain why a guy watching boxing for 35 yrs can no longer score a fight .....in bad need of a sanity check on this one.

I really think that a lot of the Canelo fan club can't see the forest for the trees on this one and lose all objectivity since they are so enamored of their red headed hero.

Canelo's shots clearly hurt Trout. Trouts shots didn't seem to faze Canelo at all.

    Seriously comparing their powershots?
Trout rarely landed anything clean, and you shouldn't put too much stock in compubox

because a glancing or partially blocked power shot counts as 1.

And a clean flush power shot also counts as one.

    So its not accurate.

Just use your eyes. Who landed the more eye catching clean power shots?

Because Canelo's power shots were more serious than Trouts.

A power shot is any punch thrown other than a jab. That doesn't necessarily mean there is any "power" behind it.

The overwhelming majority of Trout's punches missed, and the overwhelming majority that did manage to land were arm punches.

They may have been designated as "power punches," but in reality, they were non-commital, relatively soft blows.

And even then, I disagree with the statistics. I don't believe Trout landed as many punches as the statistics lead you to believe, as the overwhelming majority of Trout's punches were slipped or blocked.

And those that did manage to land, the overwhelming majority were grazing punches.

You can't judge a fight by compubox statisitics. First of all, they were plain wrong. Secondly, they don't tell the full story.

A Power shot according to Compu Box is anything other than a jab. Canelos Power shots did more damage, they were cleaner and more effective.
    its that simple

Please listen to the good doctor here OP. This is the tale of the fight period.

  13. It's called effective punching. Canelo had it. Trout didn't.
