and he fought zab than delahoya than hatton (who sucks) all for more money than he would of made to fight margarito...I like margarito and I would love to see that fight but I will never believe that PBF is afraid of him. The guy has been boxing since he could stand up, why would he be afraid, esp then...now AI could see why he would be a bit cautious to take that fight

Oscar I can assure did not take a dive, he was trying to do the impossible you seen his fight before Hopkins with Felix Sturm he struggled to cope with a naturally bigger man, Oscar before the fight was struggling to make the Middleweight limit as for Bernard Hopkins, he was struggling to get down to the Middleweight Limit. Oscar De La Hoya tried the impossible and almost succeeded as he was leading on the scorecards before he was knocked out.

Struggling to get down to 160???And now he says 150/151 is his walking around weight?? That makes no sense. And he was not leading on all the scorecards.
That fight was a sparring exhibition and nothing more. The whole fight was set up. What was in it for Hopkins to take it easy on Goldie? Vice President of the East Coast GBP that's what. Watch that fight again and tell me they were really going all out. Hell if it was anybody but Fishnets people would have ben screaming for action, any kind of action. And that body shot from Hopkins was nothing more than a tap. The whole fight was a "I'll tap you then you tap me" kind of thing. Fix?? You're damn right!!

    No he wasn't.

The fight was at a catchweight of 158. DLH made 155 and Hopkins 156.

I'm not sure I would be so insulting to say that Oscar took a dive, he think he got hit hard in a spot which really hurts intensely, but I think deep down if he had really wanted to get up, he would. When Oscar talks about this fight in his book, he basically said that right before the start he thought "what the **** am I doing in here with this guy" he felt well out of his safety zone, and kinda knew he would end up losing badly and/or getting messed up and hurt, so when the opportunity came up to find a way out, thats what Oscar did, can't blame him really, B-hop at that time was an absolute monster.

I'm sure Genaro Hernandez has taken some liver shots in his boxing career. He said DLH quit.

Manny Steward probably took some during his Golden Glove days. He strongly questioned the legitimacy of the KO.

"I guess we'll have to give Oscar the benefit of the doubt".

I don't think either Genaro or Manny thought he took a dive in the sense that the fight was pre-arranged, but they both questioned (or didn't believe) the legitimacy of the KO.

neither of them was ever hit by Hopkins with a liver shot..

so your point is null and void. Ive seen Mickey Ward tap guys IN HIS OWN WEIGHT CLASS and thery wouldnt get up..
