    And?

Only DLH knows for sure how badly that body shot hurt. Nobody besides him can say with absolutely certainty if it was real or not (unless you buy that pre-arranged theory, which I don't).

But people saying "only people who have never boxed say he quit" and whatnot is off-base, when people with boxing experience have strongly questioned how legitimate the KO is.

Did he get hurt? Did he get his face messed up? Was he embarrased during the so-called fight? Did he know before the fight he was in over his head?

of course he took a dive.writhing around on the canvas in agony was obviously something he wanted on his cv and wanted to be remembered by.

Id say yeah...he was stopped and beat the canvas.. yeah um yeah..

Hell 2lbs broke a bone in his face... he got beat up by Vargas before KOing him.

your theory isnt a very good one

No, he didn't take a dive. He just decided to not get up. Never EVER seen anyone react like he did from a body shot. Talk about over selling. :patsch

"Look..it REALLY hurts....I can't get up, but I can roll on the ground and pound the canvas instead..."

Two of the three judges had Hopkins winning going into the 9th, by fairly wide margins (7-1 and 6-2).

Many people think it was a dive because of how soft the punch LOOKED. Usually when a good body punch ko happens you hear that fat BOOM look you hear when you hit the heavy bag in the gym. But the punch looked very soft like a quick tap. However hopkins is very deceptive, and I think the punch was fine. However, I do think delahoya could have gotten up, he just didnt want his pretty face to get busted up like crazy against b hop :scaredas:

like, OH **** that light hook just knocked the wind outta me, whats gonna happen when he goes all out on my face??? NO MAS NO MAS :!:

Oscar quit in that fight. He didn't want to take a real bad ass whipping, so he found way out. The fight was not fixed.

Liver shots do not paralyze you. I've been stopped in competition by one, and I could move fine. The difference? It hurt like hell and I couldn't ****ing breathe. I stayed standing up the entire time, walking around the ring, doubled over, gasping, in unimaginable pain.

Oscar's reaction, IF the connection was on the sweet spot, and we as viewers cant know that, is perfectly reasonable imo. Alot of fighters just go down on one knee, and decide not to get up, Oscar does this first, tries to get up, and can't.

****, I never went down. Going down and staying there is not this automatic liver shot effect. Ungodly pain and an inability to breathe is. Oscar is showing frustration and that he is HURTING. My own show for the crowd was much more dramatic, and my body shot was not from Bernard Hopkins. Dude's like a surgeon in there.
