The rumor is that Hoya made it look competitive, took a dive, and agreed beforehand to have Hopkins take his purse and put it right back into Golden Boy. I don't believe it but I also wouldn't put it past Hoya - he's a money hungry SOB - worse than Mayweather, like it or not...

Why what ever do you mean reg? isnt it funny how Hopkins ended up being his business partner one week after the fight? dont you think its kind of funny how Hopkins did not break DLH the way be broke Joppy and Trinidad?

what would DLH and Hopkins have to gain? :think De La Hoya keeps his health, Hopkins gets the win he would have got either way, and both cash in on a huge payday, the whole fight was a script.

No Hopkins is CEO of the eastcoast, he works with De La Hoya not for De La Hoya, look at the body shot and the way Oscar responded to it, all that Hollywood drama you show me a clip with any other fighter dropped by a liver shot and do the same Hollywood style **** Oscar did, you wont find one.

I promise you will not find another Body shot knock out where the man screems like a girl and bangs his fist on the canvas, you know why? two reasons 1 a liver shot paralizes you so you really cant bang the canvas like that and 2 you cant screem like that, not after a legit body shot, your too busy trying to get air back into your lungs.

Like I said look up some body shot knock outs and show me one that had a similar acadamey award winning result. you wont find any other body shot with that much drama into it.

and the shot itself was not that hard at all, DLH was hit with harder body shots from Vargas.

The reason people say he took a dive is because Hopkins became his business partner, and the shot looked weak. How often do you see body punch KOs look as weak as that? How often do the KO victims act like DLH did, rather than freeze in pain?

    I don't buy the pre-arranged result.

However, DLH being frustrated, knowing Hopkins was too much for him and that he was taking over, and then quitting isn't as far fetched. Plenty of fighters, especially ones who've achieved a lot in their careers (and made a lot of money) have quit in fights.

and he is also the CEO of Goldenboy east coast correct? that has nothing to do with the fact. Like I said find another body shot Kayo in which the loser was able to screem and bang on the canvas if you cant then STFU

Who cares about Hopkins being his business partner? What kind of sense does that maek? Hopkins' reward, from Hoya, for knocking Hoya out is becoming his business partner? That makes no sense. Hoya would've been broken down had the fight gone the distance.

Hoya could've kept his health without taking a dive. This whole consipricy theory is complete nonsense. Had Hopkins lost, you would have somewhat of a point. As it stands, you don't. And if Hoya were going to fix the fight, why would he set it up so that he gets knocked out? Why the hell would he volunteer to subject himself to that sort of humiliation? No one wants to get stopped.

Had hopkins lost it would have been clear that a fix was in, this was what was expected DLH didnt want to take a beating which is why we got the script that we got.

Like I said, look for a body shot stoppage that resembles the way DLH re acted to Bernards, your not going to find one, I am sorry a body shot does not allow you to act the way Oscar did, it just doesnt.

Maybe it wasnt a fix, perhaps Oscar just quit after knowing it was past the middle point of the fight, and he really hadnt done any damage either way the body shot stoppage is questionable.

He wasn't screeming and he didn't bang out on the canvas untill well after he was counted out. I've never been hit with a liver shot but I have had my gallbladder disentigrate inside me(it took 4 hrs of surgery to get that thing out and I was in the hospital for a week). It was the worst stomach pain imanginable, and certainly worse than the pain Hoya was in. I was still able to roll on the ground and grimace like Hoya did.

Agreed. But it was rather strange that seconds before Oscar went down, you can clearly hear someone screaming "body shot" multiple times.
