if its hard to breathe how can you scream:think Oscar was screaming on the canvas as soon as he moves his gloves from his face you can see that.

You can still scream if you get disemboweled by Hannibal Lecter, that is irrelevant, his legs were gone,he was paralysed from the stomach down

I can see his mouth open, but I don't hear a scream. When people gasp for air they open there mouth as well.

This is true, good point now look at How Cintron gasped for air vs how DLH did, DLH looks as if he is screaming Cintron looks as if he is winded big difference. but you can win this lie if you like, nothing is new with you jokers.

However on a footnote, every fighter and trainer at Wildcard said DLH took a dive in that fight, EVERY SINGLE ONE

Unless you took the punch, you'll never know really.

I don't think Oscar took a dive, I think he was gassed out and got hit in a vulnerable spot and was done for the night. Whether he could've risen up before 10 is neither here nor there at that point. He was pretty much cooked.

Not trying to troll you BigReg, I'm not sure if you caught my responding post in the other thread, in either case the points have a place in this thread so I'm just going to repaste it here:

Ever the realist BigReg and rightfully so.

Lets just look at some more facts shall we?

1 - Prior to fighting De La Hoya, Hopkins largest purse offer was a Jones Jr. rematch. Even before he became a household name, he would not agree to anything less then 50% split as he argues with Jones Jr. live here:

2 - When he fought DLH, Hopkins had already achieved a notable level of recognition and was arguably a HOFer.

3 - The purse split was approx 75-25% for DLH - Hopkins.

4 - Immediately after the fight Hopkins joined Golden Boy Promotions as a partner.

5- De La Hoya has interesting recuperative powers. The shot was so painful that couldn't stop writhing and grimacing convulsively, much less make the count of 10. But 40 seconds later, he recovered enough to get up, walk around, and brush himself off.

If we compare that to other notable recent Bodyshot KO's:

    - Castillo was still on his rump many minutes after Hatton's shot.

-Cintron took almost two minutes before he could stand after Margarito's bodyshot in the rematch.

-RJJ's bodyshot on Virgil Hill was hellacious; and yet Hill stood up and almost made the count of 10. Granted, he slumped back down and also was on his rump for minutes after as well.

My point is that the argument seems to revolve around Oscars reaction to the punch. The idea that he would be paralyzed is a joke...when Virgil Hill had one of the most dramatic (and awesome) reactions to a body shot ever. It was almost like a play.

It is getting down to the nitty-gritty, but in cases of speculation it is understandable I guess.

Just like headshot KO's there is no one way that they occur and people react to it. Given that Hill had a broken rib from that shot from Jones his reaction is understandable. The blow Hopkins delivered was not nearly as visibly sharp or damaging (from a viewers POV) as the Jones shot. Additionally, De La Hoya had no substantial injury stemming from the shot he took, and his reaction surpassed that of Hill.

I'm not of the belief he took a dive in either case. I'm just stating that just because Oscar didn't lay there in convulsions isn't enough to say he took a dive.

I do however believe that Oscar gassed out and then took a shortcut at the first sign of pain, which COULD be considered a dive if you're anal. I'm not..so it's not a dive to me.
