Why do people say Greb is p4p one of the most skilled boxers?

lmao! of course the ONE time you have anything good to say about an american fighter (when you aren't dick riding white eastern euro's) its when he's white. your never ending hypocrisy never ceases to amaze me

but disregarding vystosky's (always) idiotic posts harry greb was indeed an all time great and one of the greatest to ever step in the square circle. while its impossible to put him in fantasy H2H matchups because of a lack of footage, who he's beaten and scribes cannot go ignored.

I like the bit where you say he would be a c level fighter today, after talking at great length about how it is impossible to judge his ability as there is no fight footage of him.

    this......

plus you have to take into account the time he fought.....if Mayweather came up in the early 1900's he would not be the same fighter he is today, he'd be a lot sloppier..... if Greb came up in the 1990's he would be much more polished and have the benefit of modern training and science which would make him a different animal. All you can do to compare them is judge them based on who they fought and the success they had in their era.

Oh for **** sakes MVc you say Floyd is top 12 and question Grebs standing? Stop trolling.

The only man to defeat future Heavyweight champion Tunney when he was a middleweight. (should have won the second fight, which was a draw IIRC)

Beat every top name foe he ever fought, multiple times or via revenge

Sometimes multiple Hall Of Fame Wins over Rosenbloom, Dillon, Levinsky, Tunney, Walker, Flowers, Gibbons, Norfolk, Loughran and Slattery. Legit atgs

Terrorized Dempsey in sparring to the point that Jack stopped the sessions and would never offer him a fight

Frequently fought opponents 15-20 lbs heavier than he

Was classified by Jack Dempsey as the fastest
fighter he ever saw, moreso than Lightweight champion Ben Leonard

Considered the #1 middleweight to ever fight according to Bert Sugar, and #2 fighter ever P4P.

Universally recognized a top 5 fighter in boxing history.

    Was blind in one eye.

All accomplished at the age of 32

    or marciano would beat tyson.

I mean I love marciano, his character, his fighting style, just a class person and warrior in the ring, doesnt get any better than him, but prime marciano was smaller than prime tyson and weighed like 20 pounds less, how on earth would he have handled a prime tyson with all that weight and power advantage.

I love your criticism of me .....

Followed by your affirmation of what i said.

Saad Muhammad, Mccallum, MW/SMW Toney, Hagler are among my favourtie fighters ever. Admittedly there aren't a great deal of current American fighters that im a fan of, in most cases due to their style and/or personality. You implying that im a bias fanboy who is unobjective regardless of who im rooting for is funny though.

On the topic i think Mike Hunter has a real chance of beating Artur Beterbiev in their Olympic HW fight later today. Beterbiev's most glaring weakness is his average footspeed in addition to being slightly undersized for the division which Hunter may be able to exploit. Im obviously hoping Beterbiev will win and i don't enjoy watching Hunter fight due to his "amateur" style but that doesn't impair my ability to give objective analysis or commentary. :good
