why do people say jermain taylor has no power?

    Thats what happens when you drop your hands by your side to show boat and stand right in front of Taylor. Notice that was the only time Pavlik was hurt, as long as he doesn't get careless he has no reason to worry about Taylor's power.

    Well. It might be that Pavlik is more powerful and that Taylor just throws everything into a lot of his punches. You watch Taylor throw and land a jab, he throws booming, clubbing punches. It takes Taylor longer to follow up with say a cross off his jab than it does Pavlik.

    I think Taylor might just over commit to just about all of his punches, which makes them more powerful, or at least appear so.

    I view Taylors power as rough and clubbing. Pavliks power is more precise and sharp. Two different types of weapons. Like comparing a club to a scalpel. Both can get the job done. One is a precision weapon, the other is a brute one.

    He is no Julian Jackson, but I believe the man can hit. I believe his power at middleweight is better than, say, Mosley's at welter.

    I'd say Jermain Taylor has comparable power to Tylenol PM.
