Why do people say Klitschko would get respect if he was American?

Then why wasn't Kelly Pavlik the biggest star in boxing after winning the MW title?

He was only really a household name in Youngstown Ohio.

 

When you see how big Mayweather is and he served up a fair few dull fights... I think both kilts would have been US icons. White America has been pretty non existent in hw boxing since the 60s. I can only think of ****ey and Morrison as credible contenders but no way would the klits have ever come out of the US. They lack the ethic needed.

 

This is certainly true,Wlad would be defeating Europeans and looking like a hero to the U.S,its simple logic.
