You could argue that Oscar is a 3 division champion, 2 wbo titles when they were as important as the ibo today and a 160 title vs sturm which was a very clear robbery, it wasnt close enough to accept the decision.

 

I've always found DLH - Sturm tedious to watch, I think I scored it 2 years ago and had Sturm winning by 2.

 

Yeah its the most out of shape version of dlh ever, he was never build for 160 I hink.

 

You're missing the IBF lightweight belt he won from Ruelas, so 4 division under that logic. Had he not beaten Ruelas, calling himself a LW champ with the WBO vacant title vs little Jorge Paez would've looked ridiculous. I know Jack Prescott use to love hating on DLH for that fight when he was around.

I like Oscar but he did not fight Sturm at a catchweight because he heavily underestimated him.
Then he fought the TRUE middleweight king at guess what ... a catch weight
He forced Hopkins to come down 4lb to 156.

 

158 actually, similair to oscar 4 years later hopkins decided to weigh in 2 pounds under the agreed weight.

 

I stand corrected, been quite a while since i saw the fight and i remember him weighing in at 156 and thought that was the agreed weight.

He's been a real champ at Flyweight, Featherweight and Light Welterweight. He got a gift at 130lbs and all of the rest were paper belts off the weaker champions in the divisions
