Why do people say pacquiao is an 8 div world champ?

It was 3-1 odds with some bookies as much as 5-1. Corrales was also the higher ranked fighter P4P at that juncture and many boxing analysts and media pundits predicted him winning by knockout. I remember the lead up to that fight quite vividly, including FLoyd talking about how he was going to beat him up for all the abused/battered women in the world (that was a low blow in reference to Corrales' incarceration that was scheduled after the fight.) That was quite ironic on FLoyd's part to say the least; still doesn't take away from that performance. He was an offensive virtuoso in that fight and cemented himself as arguably the 2nd best fighter in the sport behind Jones after that performance (I personally had him # 1 since the quality of opposition Jones had been facing was mediocre at best since his fight with Toney about 6 years earlier.)
