Of course it's digging into his earnings, you f*cking ******. :patsch The more money Pryor gets = less money for Leonard - hardly a complex matter to grasp, though I probably shouldn't expect anything less than from someone who's source of education came from comic books.

as they say in England, poppyco*k!

what was to be Leonard's take?

It's when you put things in proper perspective that the deception can be seen for what it is as Leonard's "offer", was not an offer at all but an attempt to save face

could be he just wasnt in the mood to be fighting unless the mood stuck him. still, I think he was chicken

Pryor wasn't in any position to be mulling over how his purse stacked up to Leonard's, Elton. I'd go about explaining the vast differences in name recognition, drawing power and overall significance between the two, but that would mean actually attempting to rationalise with you, which is a word you're utterly immune to.

By the way, do you want to take a guess at Pryor's previous earnings?

Where are you getting "ten mil" from, Elton? Perhaps the same place you got Leonard's remark to Juan Roldan, or that virtually even LA Times 'Hagler-Leonard' poll, or Vito Antuofermo's assessment of Hagler?

But you're acknowledging the $750,000 figure, are you? After previously stating "500k was the ONLY figure"? It's a start for you. :good

whether the figure be 550 or 750 k, its a drop in the bucket and u should be ashamed for even mentioning it, let alone the difference

but then, how easily does embarassment come to one who pees on himself on a public sidewalk. I bet you smell

    ^^^^^^^^^^

Elton's quickly found out that he's well out of his depth regarding this topic, so now he's going to stick with the 'Leonard lowballed Pryor' line of argument for however long he decides to remain in this thread.

Why don't you want to take a guess at Pryor's previous earnings, Elton? :-(

I don't know, but one can safely assume that it wasn't between "8 - 10 million"

Or maybe it was and maybe a fight with a pre-Arguello Aaron Pryor really was comparable to the fights with Duran and Hearns in terms of significance, marketability and overall demand/interest. :nut

Has it come up that the fight was signed and was to happen after SRL fought Stafford? Pryor was getting $750 000 after knocking back $500 000 earlier.

Apparently Pryor knocked back similar money to fight Duran around the same time.

since Ray's title was at stake a fair % should be 60/40

anything less than 40% going to Pryor is a strong indicator that the offer is not a serious one so if 40% goes to Pryor in the amount of 750 K that would mean the fight pulls in under 2 million in revenues. not likely

this is why goyourownway refused to answer, saying he didnt know. his way bowing out and he hopes that I drop the matter

btw, this fight easily could have been made in 83 with Ray easily pulling in a cool 6-8 mil

he just didnt have the heart for it

since the fight never materialized you would have to say yes, he did duck Pryor

previous earnings didnt come against Leonard in the same way Leonard's paydays grew according to which opponent was put in front of him.

except somehow he managed to pull in 13 mil from the Lalonde fight, probably becuz his stock had been raised considerably after the Hagler fight

you should think of these things but as I said before you're shortsighted and woefully under educated. does it hurt for you to think? I guess that's why you're a fitness trainer
