Why do people say that Cotto was drained against Pac?

Cotto's problem in that fight was his lack of trainer, not the fact that he had to come in 1 pound lighter than he did the fight before.

Cotto's biggest problem against Pac was not the weight (though the weight definitely did play a roll), it was the fact that he pretty much trained himself for the fight and didn't have a trainer that could devise any kind of stategy or game plan for the fight. If he had his current trainer that fight would have gone a lot differently. I don't necessarily think he would have beat Pac, but the fight would have been much closer than it was. There were several points in that fight where Cotto was outboxing Pac. He kept resorting back to trying to trade with him, though, and that is what led to him taking the beating that he did. The weight definitely did have an effect though, which was obvious by the fact that on fight night Pac looked bigger than he did.

Cotto was having so much trouble making WW he weighed-in 146 in 5 of his 8 fights there, and in his previous fight before Pac against such a big and strong welter like Clottey where he would've needed all his strength. Give me a break.

And he needs to rematch Cotto now? Haha, feel like i'm in the bizarro world.:nut When they were negotiating for a rematch, before Cotto signed to fight Floyd, very few if any non-Pacquiao/Cotto fans wanted to see it and called it another meaningless fight for Pac

You could argue this point, and Cotto is dangerous, but Cotto will still fade, and it's not likely they could develop a plan good enough to beat Pacquaio.

Like Mayweather, Pacquaio is too good.

For starters, I truly believe that Manny Pacquiao was using HGH/Insulin, EPO, and Testoserone

    ^ any proof/evidence?

If you're truly not someone's alt, then be forewarned that such dickriding exists in ESB.
Mayweather fans on Pacquiao (and vice versa) mostly.
People downplay other people's achievements to make their own fighter shine.

Use this knowledge as a means to gauge whether the poster is worth your time to respond to.
Too much dickriding = no use arguing with. pure hater. blind fan.

Pac makes himself look bad. I think he beats Cotto at 147 and 154, but why demand catch weights?? Why fight some guys at 147, but demand a lower weight for others? Pac puts himself in a position to be criticized.

Here's my thoughts on it, addressed to a poster on another thread who was very forceful in his opinion that Cotto was drained:

I think people say it because they were rubbed the wrong way at the fact that Pac had already fought at 147 yet made Cotto come down. Or they may believe that he was drained, IDK, it's hard to get inside someone elses head.

Cotto was not drained against Pacquiao, he weighed 1lb more for his fight against Clottey.
