Why do people say that Hagler was cheated when he fought Leonard?

C' on B. Leonard landed plenty clean shots on Hagler.
It's on film, he snapped his head back many times.
Also at the end of the fight Hagler's right side of his
face was swollen , he looked worse than Leonard
    did after the fight.
Other than John Mugabi, and Thomas Hearns
how many fighters Hagler fought actually hurt
him? Even with those two proven dangerous
punchers both on their "A" games, They Hurt Hagler
only for a few seconds, pissed him off, damn
near got killed for doing it.
Trying to stand and trade with Hagler for too long
was a disaster waiting to happen for any middlle
    weight in history.

Nothing bothers Hagler for about 10 months now. And nothing ever again will.

    RIP Champ.

    Power punches should count more.

Bro he landed plenty of clean power shots.
Many fighters not named Hagler or Lomatta
would've been hurt by some of the shots Leonard
    landed.
Leonard did have power in his shots at
the higher weights when he set his feet.
The 2nd Hearns fight and Lalonde proved
    that.
That's more of him not being able to hurt
    Hagler, than lack of trying.

It was a close fight, and it seems like whenever there is a close fight there are claims of robbery, hometown decision, gifts etc. SRL was a media darling of the era which made the robbery group feel like there was a predetermined agenda…I thought Hagler won, narrowly. But to me he has no one to blame but himself for the way he fought during the early rounds and giving into SRL’s demands for a larger ring which further help SRL and his style. Close fight…but not a robbery.

Hagler was a great fighter, but he was a big complainer. Everytime someone beat him or fought him close, he was "robbed". Many fans view Marvin Hagler as the hardcore workaholic toughguy, who didn't have it easy, who had to earn everything he had. Leonard had a different style, came from the olympics, and was a TV personality right away. He shuffled his feet, threw the bolo and was cocky. A lot wanted to to see him finally get his head handed to him, but it didn't happen that night. Hagler fans are still in denial about the Leonard loss. They wanted their hardcore toughguy to beat the glamour boy. Leonard fought a perfect fight. Hagler fought the entire fight like he had his finger on the trigger and never could pull it. He had himself to blame for that loss, not the judges.

Richard Steele at one point said Leonard landed some of the hardest punches. He was right beside them and has always said Leonard won and even scored the bout at one point.

Keep your trap quiet. I can’t stomach someone talking sh1t about Hagler when they didn’t know what the people discussing the conditions are for the fight had for lunch. You weren’t there you don’t know what was said or why or what went on or how much of it was in Marvin’s hands. On a side note I scored the fight for the Sugar man.

He may have complained, but he always put the boots back on at 4am and did his road work and demanded his rematch.

Ironically I was watching the Hagler-Fully Obel first fight yesterday in which SRL was the commentary. He said It's easier to fight as the champion because the challenger has to take the title from him

He also had no entourage and carried his own bags. My favorite fighter of all-time
