Why do people say Usyk is too small for Joshua and Fury but still favour guys like Ali and Holmes?

The only advantage that Fury would have over Ali is his height and reach. That's it. I like Fury and think he is an excellent fighter but we're talking about an athlete in Ali who is unparalleled in speed, movement and ability to find a way to win for the best part of 20 years against fellow ATG fighters. Fury's record doesn't come close so your comparison is spurious. The Foreman who lost to Jimmy Young had psychologically unraveled following his loss to Ali {a fight that illustrated Ali's talents). The Foreman who dismantled Frazier and Norton was an altogether different beast and his sheer physical power was level above anything that Fury has faced.

I've been watching boxing since the 80s'. Perhaps you were born by then. And maybe you just don't quite understand what you see, but many others here do.
Usyk cleared TODAY'S CW division. Mans jack **** compared to any other era.

I can see all you are is a naysayer..

Foreman was outboxed by Jimmy Young.
RJJ was faster than Ali, so would he beat Ali too? Speed matters, right?
Ali fanatics love to parrot this line, to enhance Ali's credentials. A mentally destroyed man does not keep fighting like Foreman did.

    Young simply exposed Foreman's limitations.

I've been following boxing since the late 70's and have heard the sort of comments from casuals that you're coming out with. The standard of fighter at heavyweight is currently pretty mediocre with Fury being the best of the bunch. The last great heavyweight was Lennox Lewis who would certainly held his own in any era. Fury has the potential to be an all time great but has just not been busy enough to cement his legacy. I believe the jury is still out and he needs some big fights to elevate him. Believe what you want but the majority would agree with me and with good reason.

Your favorite heavyweights like Ali and Frazier were flawed fighters. They did not have the strength or power of a Klitschko/Lewis or Fury.

Usyk is a generational talent. Put him in the 70s and he would easily hold his own (in fact beat your heroes).

What the post is trying to say is that Ali and Holmes are no bigger than Usyk who is being written off due to his small size. Ali fought against mostly Cruiserweights in the 60s although he has fought multiple legitimate heavyweights as well

I think Usyk is being written off moreso because he has done nothing at HW. That's not to say he can't or won't. But his fight w/ Chisora showed he MIGHT not be suited for HW. But as many have mentioned, he's closer in size w/ some of the older HW's, so one never knows (Or will I suppose)

I agree because best lads to be punched in the face for a living are from US or U.K and this is reality here.
Others are not that much suitable to be punched in the face for a living because __________ fanbase.

Ohh, if for you 0 in pro boxers record does means danm a lot and belts and boxers status too then for me no.
Usyk was division cleaner and beater so damn cool.

To win A.J he should KO him and there he does have almost 0 chances to KO A.J in 1 st fight and rematch, maybe also in 3 rd fight he should stop A.J in distance to win these fights.
There will not be points fighting here and sorry, even prime shape Huck, not alone even current Dorticos or ol Briedis, current Gassiev does have more chances than Usyk to KO A.J.

Belts, fights records does not matters and Usyk will just............ collect his paycheck , if lucky, next paycheck vs A.J.
Yeah, Usyk does have holy 0 but he is not needed for big business some random ukrainian not A.J or even Whyte or Chisora or boxer from U.S.

And yup, currently Gassiev most likely will KO current Usyk version, Okolie too.

Usyk is PILLOW FIST :p with holy 0 in fight record and he will need to KO A.J to win him.:D
In 1 st fight and most likely also in rematch.
It never will happen in 2 fights in row.

    LOL.

Dude NONE of this actually has anything to do with what I said. And no, a "0" doesn't mean everything to me. I don't care if someone is undefeated.

I don't even know WTF you are talking about. Don't quote me and go off some tangent has nothing to do with my post...

    Okey hero.
Usyk is a pillow fist get this and he does have lesser chances to beat A.J than Dorticos etc boxers.

If Usyk will stop A.J this will expose A.J as overrated as hell and report me when Usyk will last all distance vs next HW boxer, LOL.

Hero? WTF are you talking about? Good grief....do you even understand English??

If Usyk stops AJ, then he stops AJ. And??? You clearly have no clue about me or who I am a fan of. You're replies to me don't even make sense...

John Ruiz caught Jones more than he would have caught Ali, Jones would have been destroyed v Ali.
