Why do people still think aj is a better fighter than Daniel Dubois

An on-the-way-up Dubois has just passed an on-the-way-down Joshua. For career comparisons we need to wait a bit longer.

Should Dubois beat Usyk in a couple of weeks time, the desperation from some to discredit the win with claims that Usyk is shot will make for fun reading.

I am honestly dumbfounded at this post.

Fighter A outboxes, outfights, and scores four knockdowns against fighter B, winning by stoppage within 5 rounds. A complete blowout from every angle. There was no lucky shot, no poor prep, no excuses. Fighter B was on a hot streak and was in "his best form ever".

THEN a poster declares that fighter A is "still levels below" fighter B. Shocking. The first thing cited for reasoning is a win 8 years ago over a 41 year old who was inactive for two years...what?

This is like saying Crawford is "still levels below" Spence. It's insanity.

I think AJ has achieved more in his career than DD so far, so it's too early to make those comparisons. DD might eclipse him - and sooner rather than later - but he's not there yet, IMO.
Styles make fights and I don't think you can just confidently state that DD beats everyone AJ has and expect it to be accepted as fact. Beating a guy doesn't necessarily translate that your career eclipses his.

AJ achieved more over the course of his run, but DD can eclipse that in fewer fights, if he wins Undisputed

Don Charles is the main reason why Dubois is on this unexpected winning streak and is currently a world champion.

The Don Charles version of Dubois would give a prime AJ a very tough 50/50 fight, pre Don Charles I think a prime AJ would outbox or KO Dubois.

He's a paper title holder. The best you can give him is being the IBF champion. Oleksandr Usyk is the universally recognized heavyweight world champion.

Yes Dubois is the IBF heavyweight champion, soon to be undisputed.

We'll see. For now, he's just a paper champ.

That possibility can't be discounted at the present time.

Dubois beats any version of Joshua.

Joshua fans try to find a slice of his "prime" down to the month and claim it's some great HW, but he was beating 40 year olds. How did Joshua perform against the prime fighters he fought in Ruiz, Usyk, Dubois?

GOAT of beating washed up names though.

As others have said, Joshua has achieved more in his career than Dubios, but Dubois can certainly eclipse him.

Right now, though, Dubois is clearly the better fighter.

Peak Vs peak; I'd probably favour Dubois due to his style being a nightmare for Joshua.

Yes, if Dubois loses in big fashion in the re-match then you've gotta favour AJ for this particular comparison. Thus far, anyway.

I know that styles makes fights, and that is a very real thing as it's already been shown with Dubois vs AJ Vs Usyk.

This is a huge pressure fight for Dubois for sure, not just in win or lose, but as you've already mentioned, if lt is a loss, how badly DOES he lose?....

I personally think we're gonna have dramas on the night, I really do.
