Why do people think a fighter can't get his ass kicked and win a rematch

Because idiots automatically think a fighter is no good and should immediately retire as soon as they lose. This is literally the case after every fight despite the countless examples of fighters coming back big.

Historically rematches normally go the same way, and a lot of the time are a little wider.

But you're right, not ALL rematches don't go the same way, some are reversed in style.. Leonard Duran instantly spring to mind.

Because power punchers with limited skill sets usually dont last long in boxing. They get exposed eventually.

 

Fury wasnt even 30 percent in their first match, and he was toying around with Wilder. Getting dropped doesnt mean anything, Fury got back up and started caving Wilders face in for the remainder of the round.

 

Against 30% Fury and Wilder still lost that match 10-2.
When Fury wasn`t joking around he beat the living ***** out of him.

And while i agree the hype for Fury is being over the hill, Wilder is and never was something special to begin with. He was a paper champion, evading all the dangerous fighter and was allowed 5 or 6 voluntary defences against completely nobody.
He is protected outside of the ring, and inside of the ring by the referee and judges.

As for Fury goes i said it, Joshua will destroys him and then the hype for him will be over. He is a good boxer, but he ain`t that special breed.
I see plenty of mistake in Fury does, so a good trainer will also see them, even better and a good fighter will exploit them.

 

There have been many instances in history in which the rematch went the other way even after a KO loss. Recently Joshua did it at HW, while a lot of people here wrote him off completely too.
But, in this case it seems unlikely Wilder can come back from this. out of 18½ rounds in 2 fights, he won maybe 3 against Fury, who now also found his achilles heel.
I wouldn't bet on Wilder in the rematch despite his eraser right, because it doesn't seem to be much of a chance at this point.

 

You people are taking this too hard, its almost as if your entire existence depends on Wilder being good

Let’s talk straight, you mean Deontay Wilder!

Wilder has spent 19 rounds in the ring with Fury, (12 of them with 50% Fury)
He’s barely won 2 rounds, and they’re his because of flash knockdowns which were totally against the flow of the fight.

He has what he always had which is a punchers chance, however, what we’ve learned is that Fury’s ring IQ and reflexes allow him to see Wilders punch a mile away and avoid it.

Into the bargain we’ve seen that Fury has Wilders measure, he rag dolled and bullied Wilder

I’ll reiterate that Wilder has a punchers chance but doesn’t any heavyweight?
