Why do people think boxers are "scared" of certain opponents?

Is Khan afraid of Porter or Mathysee?
Is Froch scared of Ward?
Is David Price afraid of Deontay Wilder?
Is Donaire afraid of Rigondauex?

I would say NO to each of these questions!

Would they be smart as fukk to avoid them????

Mike Tyson said he was scared to death every time before a fight. Anyone that says they aren't scared is either lying or a complete psychopath.

 

Well look at the posters that keep spewing this notion that top-tier fighters are somehow afraid of other guys in and around their division.

People have been calling FLoyd a coward for years now. He was never called a coward from 1996-2006 when he took on any and all comers and was making his way up the ranks. It was after the DLH fight when FLoyd became the de facto PPV superstar of the sport that people started calling him chicken for not fighting Pacman or Margarito or Maravilla.

On this forum, FLoyd probably gets called a coward more than any other boxer that I can think of. And I find it baffling since he has fought almost 50 pro fights with over half of them coming against title holders/former champions.

I hope the May fight between him and Pacman happens, I just wonder what posters are going to be saying about FLoyd after that fight, especially if he wins. They'll fabricate the next boogeyman and start preaching that FLoyd is scared of another fighter.

 

Nobody thinks May was afraid of Sergio.
Even when Sergio was "prime".....if he even had one, nobody believe Sergio could win that......ppl calling for the fight just wanted Sergio to get his 8 mil bwo UD loss so he could retire.

It's ALWAYS been Pacqioua. Yeah there was MargoCheato for a few months, but it's really been Pac.....and if May finally takes the fight, it will have been a genius move ducking him all these yrs building up mega numbers on their PPV.:yep:yep:yep

PS.....he doesnt win. But he still wasnt a coward. Just a smart bsiness man.:thumbsup

"My fans aren't gonna pay my hospital bills"

"My job is like a cop's, one shot (punch) you're dead"

"What if I lose?"
"I'm a rich coward"


Tell me those statements does not indicate genuine fear of somebody hurting you, your fighter, or your son badly? Strong denial is strong.

 

Because they don't box.
Most of the guys in the forums are passed their prime couch potatoes, most of them aren't warriors and don't understand what it takes to become a pro boxer and live it on the daily.

To call a boxer "scared" is just a self projection of yourself and your life.
