Why do people think Norton was robbed against Ali in their second fight?

    I've actually heard people who thought Norton won the second fight against Ali. I despised Ali and I really couldn't give Norton enough rounds. I was literally LOOKING for rounds to give to Norton. Norton himself even admitted he lost this. Why do people think Norton was robbed in this one?
    Can someone please explain this to me?

    Because he won the entire second half of the fight.

    Ali pulled it out in the final round and won it by one point in my view.


    It was an extremely close fight but not controversial. An arguement could be made either way but I've consistently scored it for Muhammad even when,for ****ytical purposes,I've tried to give Ken the benefit of the doubt.

    Probably because Norton blocked almost every meaningful punch Ali threw.

    Robbed in the 2nd fight? Who says that? The only robbery was the third fight that Norton clearly deserved to win.

    Ali came out and won the 12th in number 2 to secure a close win. IMO Norton did enough to win the 3rd. Look at Ali's body language after the final bell sounded. My $0.02

    Out of interest, when/where did Norton say this? I have an old Ring mag where he claims he beat Ali twice (this was before their third fight).

    Their second fight was close, the closest of their series, and whoever won it wouldn't have been a robbery. I thought Ali just nicked it.
