Why do people think that size is an issue in Pacquiao vs Hatton.

The major issue in this fight is whether Pacquiao can fight effectively on the back foot - because he is going to be examined in detail in this fight.

I see this like Morales vs Pacquiao I

size is overrated!!! the better boxer wins 90% of the time. thats why I dont know why everybody picked DLH when they know that Pacquaiois the way better boxer. I guess Mosley wasnt supposed to move up from 135 to 147 and beat DLH too. size is way to overrated!!!

Tony Weeks is great! He allows one-sided fights to go through and warns fighters to punch back and soon...but doesnt call off the action right away...

I would want to see both refs Weeks or Bayless...(whats wrong with Nady?)

Because it IS an issue imo. DLH was a punching bag :)lol:) and Hatton is physically strong and fights very rough (remember he's a wrestler after all). I doubt Pacquiao can keep Hatton off of him.

i'm an hatton fan but i favour manny 60-40 in this fight despite hattons weight advantage.

in hattons favour he is very strong at light welter and bulks up well after the weigh in.

in mannys favour he has the talent to box hattons head off.

i feel if hatton uses his old style and really takes the fight to manny rough-housing him at a high tempo like against tzysu and castillo then he will stop manny.

but if he trys to box smart like floyd senior taught him against paulie then i think he will get outboxed and stopped late on.

hatton does have about a 4 lb weight advantage. but pac can keep hatton off of him by using his speed, lateral movement, strong lead left and right hook counter. pac also uses the jab more now unlike before when it was purely a range finder for his left.

pac will hit hatton with a jab or a fast lead left when hatton tries to come in and hold. when hatton throws a jab or left hook while coming in, pac will counter it with his right hook. pac has the longer reach between the two unlike in previous fights where pac had the shorter one but still managed to connect these punches.
