I have two sources that state Sanders wanted to Fight Vitali before rematching Wlad. And a source that states Wlad/Sanders was planned for December 2003 but Sanders derailed it by accepting the Jones Jr offer. All of which can be found in detail on your favorite post.

This is just fascinating study in bias.

Sanders spends 2003 out of the ring, he is not contractually obligated to rematch Wlad until he defends the WBO title once, he never defends it and drops the title in October that year, he talks alot, but he is injured midway through 2003 and not ready to train until the end of the year by his own admission, he has a legal battle over the summer that further keeps him out of the ring. In an interview, it is stated his pursuit of Roy Jones blocked the planned December Klitschko rematch. He goes on record stating he doesn't want to rematch Wlad until he fights Vitali first. He states he knows Wlad wants the rematch but he will have to wait.

Yet, we are being asked by Dino and Herol to place blame on Wlad and question his inner desires as a contradiction of his actual words. Okay then....

Why wasn't he making a deal with Wlad for a return fight. He was he cutting a deal with Jones , but not Wlad... Why?

Because Wlad didn't want to go back in with Sanders and went and did what he and his team said he would do and fought two bum fights.
Its all backed in this thread. Irrefutable evidence that Wlad swerved Sanders.
