I think Mosley edged Cotto, but I could easily see it a draw, or 1 point one way or another. I'm no Cotto hugger at all, but He deserves a shot at PBF.
because right now they both could argue who is better right now at welter based on activity level of competition and performance at welter
So Floyd can whoop his ass, then ESB would want him to fight Pavlik. Because they want him to lose so bad.
I know he didnt. Clowns would say Castillo bested him but Floyd was clearly injured. If Floyd outclasses Cotto which is unlikely to me b/c Cotto is also a smart fighter who is an accurate puncher, he is top 20-30 all time to me. This would be a great fight that will change tempos throughout.
Cotto won the Mosley fight clear as day. For those who think Mosley beat him need to read the rules on scoring rounds.
It was a very close fight. I have no objection to Cotto winning, but that was BY FAR the toughest fight of his career.
It's quite simple. As a fan you ALWAYS want the #1 vs #2. If you dont want this, then you are just a hugger trying to protect your favorite fighter. Boxing fans want to see the best possible match up. If not Cotto, then who should Floyd fight that will challenge him at welterweight. You'd have to be a complete idiot to think that there is another more challenging and exciting fight out there for Floyd within his weight limit.
The proof is in the pudding and Cotto has earned his shot:good Boxing fans want great fights and UNDOUBTEDLY Floyd vs Cotto is the best fight at 47. The sport, fans, and fighters are short changed without the best match up's. You'll always remember SRL vs Hearns:yep What legendary fight of Floyd's will be most remembered?:huh
Why even answer this question? If you don't know the answer already, you most likely have an excuse ready for anyone who answers it.
