I think the only thing that has stopped Dawson from being elite is his complacency in the ring and his suspect corner. He now has Emmanual Steward in the ring, who can help him make adjustments in the ring and help Chad maximize his strengths. I think Dawson has the tools to make B-Hop look old and embarass him.

The pushups made up for every boring Hopkins fight. If he does one thing like that every time from now till he retires he will become the godfather of boxing.

i think a lot of people are interested in this fight because it is perhaps the top two in a decent division going up against each other. Not because people are expecting an exciting fight.
Since hopkins turned 40 he has been going up against only the top boxers, making up for his very weak resume before 2005.
If he wins, and i expect he will, and then continues to fight I woulld expect him to then go up against another quality opponent. Maybe steve cunningham at cruiser, cleverley or cloud at lhw, or perhaps the winner of the super6 moving up from smw

Look at these pathetic quotes from Royal-Punch-Bagg, Gimp C and Oracle. I havent said I dont want to watch the fight. I was asking the real Hopkins nuthuggers who cited that Hopkins was shot. Now they dont feel Hopkins was shot

Failey is quite the idiot. Actually makes you feel good talking to people who know about boxing and respect the sport.

Never seen anyone say Hopkins is shot because he clearly isn't. He's past prime and clearly not the fighter he was in his youth but you can't seem to differentiate between the 2 as it's better for your own agenda to claim Hopkins is still prime or close to it as it bolsters your agenda to claim that Calzaghe beat a close to prime or prime Hopkins.

You are so transparent, almost every thread you start is about praising euro fighters and denigrating U.S fighters with Hopkins being your favourite victim. You have become a joke to many serious and impartial posters on the general forum.

Good points however the reason people want to see this fight is because they are both rated as top LHW's so obviously people wanna see the best at each weight fight eachother.

i don't want to see this fight, but hopkins is a household name in boxing and it's impressive to see a man in his mid-forties competing at the top level still.
