    Toney:
Shot after Peter I and slurring his words
    Jones:
Has no business in the post Tarver III
    Mosley:
Clearly finished in the Mayweather fight

Why do people here still watch these guys, and others like them, fight?

Because whether we watch them or not, the fight still happens and if you ignore it you miss out on current boxing.

But I would like to see all three retire today.

Boxing is a cruel sport at times. The prime become the shot when they hang around too long for their own good and then get beaten by up and coming fighters they would've wiped out or at least beaten decisively prime-wise. Its a risk fighting shot but some fighters declared over the hill have still put up great performances which is the beauty of it. With boxing many times you never know how a fighter will show up despite if they're in great condition or not or wherever on the journeyman-gatekeeper-good-very good-great scale. Unpredictability in sports in general spices things up captivating interest. Still you gotta go moreso with your brain than with your heart with matchups.

True. Morales is shot but he gave a damn good account of himself against Maidana.

I still cant believe that Toney is passing the medical examinations

I guess becaise they were once or are still your favourite fighters, you watch them in the hope that for one night they can recreate the magic. Like Mosley-Margarito, Hearns-Hill, Holmes-Mercer

Toney is my favourite fighter, but once he started slurring his words I stopped watching him fight, but I can understand your point

If James had been disciplined and taken boxing seriously his whole career, he could have been truly great

    True
He lost the will to train hard from around the Barkley fight and never regained it. I think the reason he might be fighting is to try and make up for all of those lost years.

Holyfield was one of my fav fighters at one point, but after the Toney fight I told myself enough is enough. If he wants to throw away his health thats his choice but I wont watch him do it anymore.

I support them as long as they want to battle on. Its sad and sometimes just gutting sometimes to watch them get beaten slowly to death, but im here as a fan for better or worse...

Wouldn't go that far, prime Toney was getting gifts over the likes of Dave Tiberi and if he'd have stayed in shape i'm sure he'd have come unstuck against more elite level competition at LHW.
