Why do power punchers never get accused of ducking?

I understand that, I was just giving an example to counter the OP.

This is what I was talking about regarding bias.

In this particular case, its because the fighters in question havent ducked anyone. Another poster made a good reference to other punchers who have ducked.

There are also plenty of other punchers who do duck. Just like you had to further qualify the Adonis situation. Until he ducked Kovalev, Stevenson was considered by many the bigger puncher.

Well Provodnikov and Matthyse, who have they ducked? They're warriors to the truest sense of the word, you cannot acuse someone of ducking when they quite clearly aren't.

Golovkin does get his ducking accusations and Kovalev did at one time as well with Hopkins.

    Ehh I'm ok with it

I'm a big Golovkin fan but they don't really seem interested in the fight as of now.

To me its not time yet. Ward vs Golovkin could be a legitimate super fight and I'd like to see Golovkin establish his dominance for a while and I'd like to see Ward back in the ring and shake the rust before the fight happens.

Plus Golovkin is exciting and people are excited about him. Would be a shame if Ward beat him this early in his career before he became the star he could be otherwise.

I personally don't care if they duck ward but at the same time I don't care if people criticize Golovkin for doing so

At least for the sake of consistency.

I know that if Ward stays at the top of the sport and Golovkin continues to win then the fight will happen. So the ducking accusations is fine and also could help motivate them to make it happen eventually.

The stupidest examples are when moronic fan boys accuse a fighter of ducking because he doesn't go up in weight to fight their favourite fighter. Or even worse when some dumb fvck fighter calls out another fighter from a lower division because the lighter guy is getting all the publicity, or acclaim.

    Pure idiocy.

It's simple really...a fighter is perceived as wanting to fight. A runner is perceived as NOT wanting to fight. Doesn't get much more basic than that.
