Why Do So Many Discredit Paul Williams

1. Quintana did show he can be outboxed by a slick boxer and can also be hurt. Mayweather would outbox him and probably even stop him. I believe Mayweather has more power than Quintana.
2. The 2nd Quintana fight was quick but it showed that he was still being outboxed by Quintana. I think its a fluke that he caught Quintana with a lucky punch and capitalized well. I want to see a third fight before i ask for a Margarito rematch. He cant just get his shots by beating Quintana.
3. Margarito has improved alot while PW really is just the same. Ever since the loss Margarito has pressed the entire fight not just the last 6 rounds. WE saw that PW can take some of Margos punches but if more were to land(remember the 11th round) then PW would have been stopped. PW was as determined as could be the first time they fought while Margo was looking at Cotto. I think in the second fight Margo would know that PW is a threat and would train very hard and if pressing the whole twelve rounds then Margo stops him late or steals the last 3 rounds due to PW feeling beaten and getting hurt too often.

4. The thing he has to do now is either rematch Quintana or why not take on a top WW while Margarito gets his mega fight he has worked so hard for. I like Margo now and he does deserve a mega fight then i say fight PW. PW can either take on Collazo, Judah, Cintron. All those names will give him decent paydays and be good fights to have on his resume. I say PW-Margarito in early 2009.

Theres no bigger fight than him vs Williams. Thats one of the top 3 fights that can be made in boxing period. If we're talking money then yeah theres a couple bigger fights out there for him.

 

That first fight was a fluke. And if you really watch the 2 ndQuintana fight, you will see that he hit him with a calculated 3-piece that would have been there the entire fight. Once he stunned him, he went to work. Nothing lucky there, just opportunistic. And it doesn't matter how much you like Margo guy, he just made 5 million over the past two years. And now Paul is offering him 4 more plus PPV. How much more "feeding of his family" does he need????

You people love to bring up Quintana, but at least Paul went back and got what was his. All we're asking is for Margarito to grow a pair and do the same thing!

Margo is ducking Williams, PW beat the **** out of Quintana so now he doesn't want Paul anymore, Unless he gets a shot at DLH or PBF there is no reason for him to take less money to fight someone else.
