I don't like Amir Khan's personality but he is one of the most watchable fighters in the game today. He's a flawed boxer and can be a bit of a wanker at times, but he has the heart of a lion and his fights are far more engrossing than several of the elite level fighters. I called for him to retire only because I don't want to see him get badly hurt but IMO boxing would be losing a good asset if he did. I'll take a Khan fight over Donaire's last few any day.
Hyped like he's elite. Talks like he's elite. Doesn't fight like he's elite. Yeah why do people hate him? I cheered so ****ing hard when Garcia cracked that glass.
Bull****. Guys like JMM have lion hearts. Khan is a ***** and not a real warrior. He's exciting for two reasons: (1) he fights aggressively, and that I give him credit for (2) his hilarious defensive liabilities, namely the weak chin.
Wait, so skills make you a warrior? You've clearly never been in a boxing gym, let alone a boxing ring to say he's not a warrior.
Are you seriously saying Khan lacks heart? And if so,what do you base that on? Even his critics(and I'd say I was one) acknowledge he has a lot of heart. Only bullshitter here is you flower.
he writes checks his mouth cant cash. looks past his opponents as if he is levels above them when in reality he is not, then ends up getting his ass beat. that's always satisfying to see. mother****er promised to KO Garcia then ends up getting KTFO his damn self. a brutal KO at that . Angel Garcia may have said some borderline ****, but he was correct about a couple of things. Khan is notorious for looking for any excuse he can come up with for why he lost a fight. as if he's trying to psyche him self up and blame one specific reason why he lost. his voice is annoying as well.. just sayin. i bet you he's still thinking about a Mayweather fight.
I really think Amir should become a gym rat and improve in all areas; he is very flawed. That said, with all his limitations he hasn't done too bad for himself. He needs to look spectacular in his next couple of fights. Such set-backs happen... what did you expect... Ariza not being in his corner, him not doing running sessions in the morning, all veggie diet giving you less resistance to taking a punch not only that his stupid brain thinking he was hearns and could brawl it out with 6 toes slow mo. He was too over-confident and paid the price. Didn't listen to corner. This was an opportunity of a lifetime; 3 belts plus ring magazine belt was on the line... now i think he'll never get a chance like that unless he works himself up to being a mandatory to petersons/garcia's belt. Another thing look at how Alex handled Khan after the 10th round and then look at Ruben... huge difference.
