He proved he can battle through getting his bell rung by a hard ass puncher. Sure he was a bit lucky at the same time but he still came back after nearly being KOed, not easy Herol, you try it.

 

i think a better fighter than a 40 year old was perfectly possible.

Only in HW boxing today is the a 40 year man allowed to pass for the best available on the entire 7.5 billion population of the planet. Utter joke.

this is what anyone else would have done long ago on the way up to getting in contention.

 

Yeah now that I seen Ortiz go from winning the fight to looking tired, I cant help but think his age played a part in his fitness. Everyone knows that the younger athlete is always fitter but when the older athlete is almost 40 then they're usually put in a seniors division like a masters or a presidents.

Im not taking anything away from the champ Wilder. The only top fighters left for him to fight was Povetkin, Parker, Joshua and Ortiz. He took the next available at the time.
