Is it just laziness, or are other factors involved? I know boxing is no bodybuilding contest, but when a boxer looks like Mike Tyson it has several benefits: - he feels good about himself - mental edge - the opponent may get scared, or at least concerned - mental edge - the audience is impressed - gets more attention, bigger draw, more money, etc. For your (no homo) viewing pleasure, this is what an athlete is supposed to look like in my book: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IXae7qYFV24[/ame]
How many fighters with big bodybuilder-type bodies ever do any signnificant in boxing? I can only remember most of the ones I've seen getting KTFO in devastating KOs. All that mass bodybuilders have will slow them down and they'll fatigue quicker in sports requiring great cardio. Big for nothing I say.
Gaining muscle mass is for body-building Barbie Ken´s - solo boxeo This is what boxers look like This content is protected And this is how they train This content is protected
Because there are too many short cuts thats why !! Too many dam weight classes etc ..This is why Chris Arreola is a top heavyweight today !
Are you a complete ******? Do you think he'll feel better about himself if he's in great boxing shape or if he just looks the part? Do you think any boxer is stupid enough to equate muscle size to strength or skill? Do you think anybody in the audience is impressed about the boxers physique (apart from obvious gayboys like yourself) ? Learn about muscle physiology, those guys aren't athletic looking, they're muscle bound. If you train for hypertrophy you're making yourself a poorer athlete as your strength to weight ratio goes down. Strength and size aren't the same thing gayboy. Neural factors and tendon tension play a far larger part in power than muscle does.
I haven't watched the video, but gaining muscle like that guy in the video is not the way forward. Of course boxers can do weights, but it is a lot more benefitial if the weights are sports specific and explosive, rather than just to gain mass like a bodybuilder. Boxers tend to have very strong cores, and not much excess muscle on arms and shoulders IMO.
guys like pac arent that muscular. look at rios, dominating, but no muslces. u dont need bulking muscles in boxing to be successful. too much muscles hinders on boxing technique
Sorry but the guy in the vid looks roided up to me, several people from my gym look like him and they are all roided up. Its not that weird that it seems that way for me then, right? If he is natural then full respect for his hard work and dedication of course.
