Lets get the facts straight, hatton was a top 20 p4p fighter, and the recognized top dog at 140. Many (myself included) thought it would be a close fight up to the 6th round, were the tide would flow into either ones favor's. :huh

but however, what pac did that night was magnificent.... He completly tooled hatton :scaredas:

I was ****ing shocked at how easy he made it look... But it seems to have been a double edged sword, instead of saying, oh my god, pac tooled a great fighter like hatton?? He is amazing!!

Instead, haters come out with BS like, hatton was never that good, bad chin, overrated hype bs. **** THAT, hatton was/is is top fighter, its just that pac's beating made him look like ****.

I kno we all hate the *******s, but come on, as boxing fans, we can't sit their and watch people downplay an amazing performance that pac painted :hey

agreed, i see the whole oscar fight as a circus side show attraction. Maybe those new to watching the game were impressed, but true fan's knew exactly what was going on. I like to pretend that fight never existed :-(

It was impressive, I don't think anybody is downplaying it, but that's not the same Hatton in the past. The Hatton against Tszyu would not have lost that fight., but all credit to him he fought Hatton at the right time and he beat him.

I'm not sure about that. Present day PAC dominates all versions of Hatton.

Pac beats all versions of Hatton. There was nothing Hatton did which troubled Manny in any way. Just accept that Hatton is not in the same class as Pacquaio.

People go on constantly about *******s and all the hype but this is first positive thread I've seen posted about Pac in a long time. Shows you the level of hate towards the guy.

please explain how can the hatton who won against (near shot)KT would beat pac...even with that shitty referee and home court advantage, the current version of pac takes him out imo

The way Pac won gives him all the credit in the world. I thought it was gonna be around an 8th round TKO for Pac. But from the first punch he landed, it was over. And I knew it. Hatton's chin has decreased a bit. But his skills aren't that bad. In the 2nd round, he actually wasn't doing too terrible. Not saying he was winning the round by any means. But Pac caught him with a perfect punch. Anyone who doesn't give full credit to Pac for that win is crazy, because even though Hatton's chin aint what it use to be, he still has a decent shot to beat anyone else at 140. Much better win that DLH.

Pac wins, it just probably would have been a later round TKO.

**** a prime hatton that fought and old tszyu, i would be way more interested in a prime pac vs tszyu fight. That would be one for the ages. 50/50 in my eyes

. . . that's the consequence of ending the fight early. Pac made it look so easy.

And instead of giving props to the guy . . . it is eassier for some people to say that Hatton is past his prime.

Well, Hatton would have a lot faster on his feet, he hand speed would be faster and his chin would be a lot stronger than what it is now. Hatton too major bombs from KT and he didn't stop coming. Pacquiao doesn't hit as hard as KT, Hatton of now wasn't able to wrestle Pacquiao due to him being a lot slower because Hatto had Pacquiao up against the ropes once in that fight, the Hatton that fought against KT would have been able to keep Pacquiao there against the ropes and he would have been dishing out the hits along with taking some too, but the thing is he wouldn't have gone down. Hatton would eventually, wear Pacquiao down because of the constant pressure. There is my explanation, of course there is no right answer so it really doesn't matter what anybody says it's all opinion...but don't tell that to the people that hide behind the safe answer of Pacquiao and laugh if anybody says anything else.
