Why do some boxing fans take things so personally??

I think the hardcore boxing fan feel very passionate about their most beloved fighter. When I hear people mindlessly discrediting the career and legacy of Marco Antonio Barrera, I almost feel compelled to butt in and give them a harsh word or two. That being said, constructive criticism and mindless disrespect are two completely different things.

It can be kind of amusing.

 

There is that sensitivy issue where a lot of groupies take offense when "their" fighter is criticized but most of it boils down to petty misunderstandings about semantics!

Interesting post coming from a fan who uses a username 'vanillakilla' what exactly are you trying to say with that username? Complaining about being called a 'Hater" and then using the term "Nuthugger" is a contradiction don't you think?
