Why do some feel Wilder has a tougher defence than Joshua next?

What about against Thompson and Jennings?

You think Pulev would have stopped Dave Allen? He couldn't even stop punchbag Johnson.

You said it there pal. Its the 0. I dont care what people on here say but an 0 makes all of the difference in how someone is rated

Scott has the potential to make anyone look bad. He was flat out running against Ortiz and still got knocked down a half dozen times. I'm frankly astounded Ortiz even landed a glove on him.

I dont always think Pulev goes out looking for the stoppage in the same way Ortiz does. Overall when I look at resumes and recent performances I cant see why Ortiz is thought to be so much tougher.
I think it is because Joshua is expected to win easily and Ortiz after nearly 40 fights is considered a step up to some for Wilder. Just my opinion

Tell me what fighter with a loss on their record would be a bigger win for Joshua if he were to beat them rather than Wilder.
People comment on Wilders opposition but there would be some that would favour him to beat Joshua I expect. Thats high esteem

Pulev recently went the distance with an old Kevin Johnson , says a lot I think.

Ortiz I'm not sold on looks like age has caught up with very quickly.

Both AJ & DW are fighting who they can at the moment but do think this is a large step up for DW

Pulev can't get the stoppage because he doesn't have the power. If he did he would.

Ortiz hurts people with one or two slow glancing punches. He's the heaviest handed fighter in the division and that's been proven in his stoppages of Thompson (Pulev couldn't even rock him), Jennings (Wlad couldn't stop him) and Dave Allen (who da fuq stopped Dave Allen?).

I'm no fan of Wilder but he's facing by far the more dangerous challenger in Ortiz. That's not even taking into respect stylistic or resume-related factors.

Yeah well that makes Joshua 3-0 in comparison to Wilder.

Name of the game man.. These guys are gladiators who get beat up for our own amusement. Thinking about this fight... Wouldn't be too bad if it was at HW instead of CW, would probably be easier on both men.

Its not all about a punch though. I would guess it could be argued that many fighters have fought harder punchers than what was considered their biggest fight and with all those names you mentioned, they were stopped after the losses which often happens

Well, Wlad was for one, and he had 4 losses at the time. You could definitely argue a case that Povetkin would be a better win as well.
I'm not saying Wilder wouldn't be a good win, I'm just using Wilder as an example to dispute your assertion that having a 0 means you are automatically rated. Wilder is undefeated but he's probably the most dumped on fighter on the forum.

Pulev is a worse version of Wlad in every single way. Worse jab, worse defense, non existent power. If Joshua just beat Wlad, who only came close to beating Aj because of his power, what chance does Pulev have? Ortiz still has a better chance because we have yet to see him tested at a world level so much of his abilities are left to the imagination. He has good power and a solid amateur pedigree.

All of Pulevs top wins are against extremely faded fighters or opponents who took the matches on very short notice. Ortiz walks Pulev down and knocks him out
